I'm pretty sure you put it like that :P

But i suppose i'll move it :D

I would have done ...... when you had a standard manifold with the factory heat shield :P

I always alter them for the 4-1 tubular manifolds ;)

Keep me posted James. I tried to get some info on the very same thing last year but got nowhere with them. Moving to a fully enclosed filter made a decent difference to mine at Le Mans last year. I went plastic though as I wasn't sure whether a carbon or aluminium one (based on previous ITG experience) wouldn't just resonate and add to the general racket.

well, we put one on Lee's car today, and given that his car actually works were able to try it. and erm, we think it makes a difference

But it is small,10-20% maybe? It certainly isn't a night and day effect. It isn't louder though thumbsup   and there is no itg woooshing (technical term)

Oh and my new Exhaust is stll quieter than Lee's

ahh i see, does that bracket push your exhaust away from the subrame? Mine sits alot closer to the sub frame than yours in the picture, just hope it dosnt bang into it over bumps.

Is that an LED in the switch? Does it work? I find that at least 50% of the time I've manually triggered the fan, I leave it running when back up to speed.

I would have deleted the immobiliser LED and put a switch there instead. But very tidy work none the less.

No, it doesn't.It could be made to work if you ran a wire to the relay. You can wire it so that the LED is on all the time and then off when the fan comes on, but that would probably we worse (thats because the switching is done via an earth rather than a live)

Why do you need a fan switch when you can just use the scan gauge?
