Did you drive, trailer or push the vx James?
Glad to hear move has gone smoothly. Looks like you have a nice area for tinkering

Has the car got a new engine ready and waiting?

Looks like you've got dirty whitewall tyres (or maybe tires?) on it.

And then on the 23rd of June it was my turn. I can't really decribe the feeling, especially as it now a memory,

I would never usually do this, but the original design is so stupid that i decided to fix it:
and to try and save some face for the potato farmers that made it, i tried to make it look as original as possible.
I went through this crap yesterday, what an odd design by Lotus. It took me 20 minutes to be able to wiggle my hand through and manage to unclip the plug and fuel lines.
I'm gonna adopt your mod A few questions:
- Does your mod give enough clearance to lift the fuel pump out?
- Do you have a drawing or the max O.D. of the pump to make sure it clears, or did you just guess? Getting a rule or a vernier in isn't very practical...

The antithesis to the usual posts in this thread
Snow
Salt
More salt.
Driven pretty much everyday recently as the Golf goes in for (self induced, alright me induced) repairs. Its felling absolutely great and the AO48s (save for a little moment with cocopops in the car) have been brilliant. Never driven it with so much confidence.
