You're just like Obelix. Not because you're huge or wear big blue striped tights (I'm guessing here, never met you) but you must have fallen into a cauldron when toddler and swallowed the Beaulieu Encyclopedia of the Automobile (coach builder edition to)...The red one's a Reliant SabrA [later on it became the SabrE 4]. Reliant got involved with some Israelis building 4 wheeled versions of their 3 wheeler [the Regal?] for the early 60s Israeli car market. Then they all decided they could make much more money building and selling expensive sports cars so they bought in the moulds for one of the plastic Ford 10 kit cars [a DG Fibreglass job?] and a chassis frame which might have been a Buckler or a Bellamy design and bolted it all together and that toothy thing was the result.
Then they tidied it up and it became the Reliant Sabre 4 for the UK market with the same Ford Consul engine; then they stuck in a Zephyr straight six and it became the Sabre 6 which was apparently quite a good car; then they went even more up-market and got Tom Karen to design a prettier GT body and it became the first Reliant Scimitar.
... The white one's a Berkeley Bandit. I've just realised it was a quarter of a century ago that a friend of mine who then only had a motor bike licence wanted a 3-wheeled car so he asked someone who knew about these things and who raced a Morgan trike whether he should look for a Berkeley [a 3 wheeled version of the red one at the back of the pic] and the answer was an unequivocal "do NOT get involved with any Berkeley in any circumstance!!"
I must thrown another tough challenge...

I would have to agree, you have an almost disturbing level of knowledge of these cars PomYou're just like Obelix. BMW 1600 GT Glas/FruaBonus marks if you know the special history of this model:
BMw took over Glas who had this coupé designed by Frua, which was known as the Glas 1300GT or Glas 1700GT. BMW installed the BMW 1600 engine and called it the BMW 1600GT.

Its a Wesford Clubmans car, Brabham mag wheels, 1550 nc engine. I sold it to a chap in the USA who then raced it in the SCCA champs.

I surprise myself!Ok Speedy, you're an Obelix to!

Saw the pic and thought, "BMW, Frua". I have amassed more (fairly useless) car-related info than I thought. Stuff that I've not been confronted with in years is just waiting to burst out!

But then, for me, cars have always held a fascination since I was a toddler – unlike other subjects along the way

Not figured out that white one though, the fact that the back of the car is cut off in the pic doesn't help. That rear side window looks familiar – not place it yet though...
