What are you trying to do? This?

If so, I might still have the original MDF mounting "plates" knocking around in the garage somewhere.

I've just finished doing this and it sounds great, easy job, had to patch into the front speaker wires coming from my radio connector cable I just googled to find out what pins they are, to route the cables, below the radio in the dash if you feel about there are other cables passing through to the lower side, so the cables can be pushed through along side another loom cable. To make the mounts I made a template using cardboard and traced it onto the mdf, mounted the speakers tiger sealed the outside edge to bond them into place and screwed the fronts using the holes already there. I did use some dynamat behind the speakers to stop any panel rattle and have also fitted a full carpet kit. I didn't want to hack my dashboard to fit speakers on top in the air vents. So this was the alternative, the hardest bit is getting your head under the dash to the job done got a bit stuck a few times. But well worth it, just take the time to do a good job.

Worth mentioning the pedal return springs rattle with the new found bass, I cut a cm wide piece of dynamat and wrapped it round the spring and no rattles.

I've noticed i've got these in my car though neither was connected up and one speaker has a hole in it. Something to sort over the winter! I wonder if a previous owner of my car has posted in this thread before?!
