Can you believe it. Just because my car has the VXR back box, its now classifed as "modified" by the insurance companies! Explained to them that it was an approved option, "well did it cost you extra, above the price of the base car". Yes- so its classed as a modification! # Insurance companies...what can you say. mani

Number 52 turned up at Mallory Park yesterday after lunch. Lady owner (can't remember her name ) who seemed a somewhat unlikely owner, being a little hesitant and nervous (or maybe it was me making her that way ) She was there for an afternoon's instruction c/o a guy who drove an MX5 during the morning session. No obvious mods other than the tyres - Gone were the 048s having been replaced by Goodyears on the front and Bridgstones on the back. They'd been changed due to concerns over the capabilities of the Yokos in the wet. Didn't really get much of a chance to chat as they kept themselves away from most of the trackers by parking up by the cafe. Understandable as I guess if you're there for instruction you don't want people like me interupting all the time The car seemed to go quite well and we met only once on the track but I'm not at all sure about the tyre combination if you were pushing it a bit. Oh yes, the car carries a "55" reg plate so was not pre-registered and I guess it must have been one of the last sold sometime from September 05 onwards.

By the looks of things we have chassis 33 Our car is the ex works VXR sprint car that was rolled we are in the process of rebuilding I take it the last two digits of the VIN number is the chassis number? BillB
