By the looks of things we have chassis 33

Our car is the ex works VXR sprint car that was rolled we are in the process of rebuilding

I take it the last two digits of the VIN number is the chassis number?

Hi and welcome.
IIRC I don't think the Sprint was a VXR, being a one-off special before the VXR went into production. Again, IIRC, I'm not sure that the Sprint was even a pukka converted VX, and may have had a different chassis(?) - or other Loti bits - out of the parts bin! I am sure someone will be along soon if I'm talking bollox.
If it is a VX then it's the last 4 digits. VXR's have a limited edition plaque on the dash with the serial number.

Yes the VXR's do have the limited edition number on a plaque on the dash, so this list is just reliant upon this number. Nathan.

I have got #04. Replaced my RSFocus and wow, this is what driving a car is all about. Have some concerns tho. Firstly, my seats have different coloured stitching, passenger one has blue stitching and drivers has black. Anyone know why this is and which is the normal standard colour? Second, the ride hide at the front is 17mm higher on the nearside, strange, eh? I think #04 is standard and would like to know what the options were and what to look for. Any info or advice is greatly appreciated, Johnny.

Mine has black stiching. Options when I bought mine were Ohlin shockers at an extra 1k and that's about it. Mine has the same ride height all round. A hard top was on offer at 1500 which I took. Mintex brake pads are a must, how far you go then is up to you and your pocket. Have fun you have a very special car.

VXR no 8 is not owned by RWELLS any longer, so you may wish to update that. I don't know who currently owns it. It's VIN ends in 7559. It originally had the reg LL04 LJZ, but that was later changed to OO03 VXR. The last time I saw the car, it had no laser etched VIN in the FR wheel arch and the windscreen was mounted 1 inch too low so a hard top would not fit correctly.

Picked it up on Monday Goes like stink, was very bouncy until I took some air out of the tyres (34 and 35psi rear, 33psi in the fronts) Vauxhall. Apart from that, I've noticed that there's a pause around 4,000 to 4,500 revs is this normal????
