Think I got away with it mate, thanks for the concern

I tell ya, I was literally only doing about 0.3mph.. was turning left on the pavement and about to cross the road. Got a little bit of opposite balance on but ran out of talent and clipped the wall.

Was bloody lucky not to damage my rear end

The problem is that as the cost of Speedcats falls more and more inexperienced owners are getting into them without the necessary skills to handle them properly. This would never happen with Churches brogues because the owners tend to be more mature and are used to wearing high quality footwear.

Watch yourself people

Just proves what most of us have always known

"you've got no control whatsoever over mind and body"

You should invest in the skills of walking and changing direction before you buy modded trainers

I'm highly experienced though.. having used Speedcats regularly for the last 6 or 7 years and I've used both the boot version, lace up shoe and slip on shoe. I'm really at a loss as to why this has happened as I'm normally so vigilant

 Any fastfood outlet nearby, as you have to show particular caution around these areas, what with people over filling after a late nights drinking ;) the potential for spillage  is enormous ;)

Come on Andy, you're not going to tell me that wearing nothing but Speedcats for that long gives you the experience you need to handle high performance footwear properly? The reality is that Speedcats are full of safety features which flatter the incompetent. You cannot claim to be able to walk properly unless you have walked across a wet marble floor with new leather soles. Many people fall into the trap of thinking that it's them, not the shoe, which is keeping them safe. They just don't have the skills to save the situation when the systems fail.
