On a related note - if anyone was considering removing Owen Wilson's duodenum with a garden spade please do not hold back on my account.
Edit: It's late and I can't sleep so I'll r ant here. I don't go to the cinema very often but I went tonight. The reason for my infrequent trips is that I loathe these fcuking multimegatrulygonzoplexes that occupy a corner of every out of town shopping hell in every out of town town in the UK. Can someone please explain to me why these dives have a dozen screens or more when there is never, ever, ever more than one film worth watching at the best of times. After that brain tickler you may wish to consider why (i) popcorn is priced as if it is strontium plated and (ii) why the ill washed clientelle can't seem to keep it in the bucket and off the floor. For a bonus point you might try: who in the name of all that is holy buys one of those hot dogs?
The one I was in had all sorts of crazy entertainment sh*t in the foyer. Shoot em up games, a flight simulator and a machine that took your picture then turned it into a portrait. Is this some sort of indictment of modern cinema? That the film you are about to see is so grim that sitting waiting for some half arsed photoshop rendering of a passport photograph is considered exciting?
And always entertaining (in the worst possible way) are the posters advertising coming attractions. The state of the film industry's current out put can be best gauged by the number of times you mutter "Oh Jesus, surely not" when you see posters advertising some rehash of a film that never needed remaking or in the case of tonight's trip the grim realisation that John Travolta is still getting work.
Entertainment? It would be more entertaining nailing your toes to a plank of wood.

a bit "thick" and long, but a must-see IMO..... does a fine job explaining how and why corporations are THE one (pretty much) cause of planetary health demise...

I agree with some of your points Jim, but I still think said multimegatrulygonzoplexes are the best place to watch a film - unless you are fortunate enough to have a projector at home and expensive surround sound system. I would much rather go to a multimegatrulygonzoplex than watch a film at one of the older cinemas still in existence in the smaller towns, with crap sound systems and 1" of leg room.I don't go to the cinema very often but I went tonight. The reason for my infrequent trips is that I loathe these fcuking multimegatrulygonzoplexes that occupy a corner of every out of town shopping hell in every out of town town in the UK...
