i had absolutely no intention to ever watch this movie. i loved the first one so much i couldn't see how a prequel could ever do anything but spoil what i felt for the original.
then a so called mate went a bought it for me as a gift. i was a bit pissed off at first, some mate potentially ruining a great movie - i was so very wrong. it's a great movie too and now i find myself teetering on the edge of wanting to see III...

edit to add: i just noticed on the imdb that the once great american director martin scorsese is remaking the original under the title of the departed - it's 30 years since taxi driver and some 16 years since his last great movie (imho) goodfellas - am i alone in thinking he's way past his best?

i won't be in any rush to see it that's for sure. the avaitor was p!ss poor. and dicaprio is in this too - you think they are lovers?
