Some of the cars pinicale moments are when it was used by Vauxhall for the Astra launch dispaly at the legendary Goodvood festival of spped show, It took 3rd place best overall car at PV 2004, 1st place, Best guest club car at PVG show in 04 and the car is well known throughout the Vauxhall circles.
Ngk is standard to look at from the outside with the exception of the ride hight. Lowered on spax suspension, makes a great drive even better. The 2.0 16v was fitted earlier this year, and i have covered less that 5000 miles since the engine has been in, in the last month a new cambelt rollers and tensioner were fitted, polished rocker cover an polished ht cover along with stainless bolts and a midnight black belt cover. The cam seals were also changed, along with the sump gasket. The oil cooler has been removed as the standard Vauxhall units leak like sieves, and as i dont use the car on tracks, i have not fitted another, only modified the oil filter housing, to completly remove the sandwich plate... much tidier. The engine is in great condition and certainly is a low milage model as it is as tight as the day it was made. Its the later style DIS xe, so the porous head issue is a thing of the past. When the engine was fitted a Powerflow system was put on, and to be fair, it sounds awsome.
Ngk is a straight car, the only outside faults being a small dent in the boot, and the bonnet has a crack, but with the sale, a bonnet and boot in mint condition and in black will be supplied with new GTE decals.
The interior is in great condition for a 20+ year old car, the only downside is the headlining has what looks to be a form of mildew on it, not a massive job as a new headling can be made up by most interior places.
There is loads more to this car and its lead a very pampered life and needs to go to someone who is going to take it on to being an even better car. I also have the original engine to go with the car, and sooner than hack out the original injection loom, its has been fed back into the cockpit and tied up behind the dash. Therefore the car can be put back to one of the best standard GTE's in the country.
So there you go guys.... do your worst!!!
Im looking for around £3000 for a very well known car, which i think with its history is a fair price, but im open to sensible offers.
Email me raz@mk1oc.com for pics, i have over 900mb of them!!!
