I was reading the post about installing dbilas intake and went on their site and saw that they have an full turbo kit for vx/speedster which kosts 5000K (euro). Does anyone here have it installed? What does it include? Is it worth a shot or should i go for hitec SC ?

At 5 million Euros I wouldn't give it a try. :o Also as the AMM is made out of the most delicate material known to man it might start breaking more often.

i have now seen the dbilas turbo kit fitted, it really is a good setup. as soon as i get some rr graphs i shall post them up:) the kit weighs in at around 30kg!! i think its around £4k fitted too...the setup that they suggest gives around 260bhp/240+lbft at .6bar( this apparently has done 1000s of miles at testing stage and is soon to get a TUV approval) the one i have seen was setup at only .45 bar in order to give a larger safety margin for the engine! with a change of rods and pistons, the turbo setup can be pushed beyond the 280bhp mark

the first uk dbilas turbo installation has been done at regal..it has been initially setup with around 0.4bar of boost this has resulted in 200bhp/225lbft ....both the torque and power graphs look smooth ( no massive peaking on the torque curve!) and looks very driveable:) i am hoping to have a drive of this car soon! ( the owner isnt a member of this site which is a bit of a shame!) i understand that once the car has settled in the boost will be adjusted further ( max 0.65bar for this setup) as soon as i get some pics of the installation i will post them up:)

What's included in the kit? Is it the kit as shown on the regal website, the vx220 example, or is this an other kit?

they have sended me a dyno graph... Do the figures match ? radleistung is "power at the wheels" right? How much does the standard NA / turbo have then if the 2.2 turbo has "only" 186.3?

Yep, according to a translation webpage: Norm-Leistung = normal acheivement (whatever that means) Motorleistung = crank power = 244 PS (240HP) Radleistung = power to wheels = 186 PS (183HP) Schleppleistung = train achievement (drivetrain loss?) = 58PS (57HP) Drehmoment = torque (must be crank torque) = 338Nm (250lbft) So thats: 240HP and 250lbft to the crank thumbsup

so an NA has wheel power arround 100HP then (if the turbo one (2.2) produces ~180HP at wheels) ?

According to < this > the zafira 2.2 (same engine, dunno about gearbox) makes 132bhp to the wheels and 145bhp to the crank...

So 100bhp seems too low...

the 100hp thing was a bit sarcastic .. but that still means that if you install the turbo into the 2.2 you would not gain 110Hp but 54HP compared to stock NA. That's what shocked me.

for around £4k the kit looks good to take the standard na from 145bhp/150lbft to 256bhp/240lbft looks good:) thats an extra 11bhp/90lbft!! think i might have to really consider this:)

But in fact what maters is what your wheels are doing and there isn't such an improvment - only 54hp not 111 .. that's a big diff.

i understand where you are coming from but....results on different systems really can vary! maybe someone should ask dbilas what a standard vx gave out on their setup...i have seen only 110bhp at the wheels one setup and 124 on another...never seen as high as 132 ( actually dont believe there is only a reduction of 9%!)

Turbo kit that will fit an 2.2 Ecotec on ebay... cheap, UK seller, no feedback though
I contacted him (email), he is based in Scotland, its a private sale, cavalierextreme.com appears to be dead so not sure where he's coming from.....
