i noticed that the price for the setup on rubbers car is going to be around 8k!!! seems to me that anyone wanting a good £ to bhp should really consider the supercharger setup

Steve, by all means guess but until we actually tell you the prices its exactly that - a guess :P . The prices for the TB kit will range in price according to whatever other mods you need, there will be a bolt on kit on a standard car and all the way up to race car spec with engine internals - the prices will reflect that. I can understand the frustration brought about by the time this has taken (but you want it doen right don't you?) but I fail to understand the hostility?

what hostility  just stating that it seems the charger option is better overall option with regards to cost!

I said that all the numbers are guestimates and nothing should be written stone until we have definitive figures.

u can always get the initial setup done first and do other bits as you go, not many people will have that kind of money to throw at the car anyway, just take a deep breath and wait for some confirmed pricing lol! :P

the cost reflects what has to be done to a particular engine :) if you already fitted the other upgrades and only require the throttle bodies, the cost is going to be reasonable (I hope), especially if you can do the fitting yourself and save the labour costs :D the sc is quite costly really, as it's £5.5k in one go, most people do several upgrades (as and when they can spare the dosh :P ) until they reach the full potential

It's more that £5.5k for the stg 2 SC as you need to have a full milltek (or equivilent) so from a standard car the costs are much higher (an extra £1k?)

Nope, thats it, not going to drawn on price anymore :P When we finalise it, we'll announce it and you can complain/appreciate it all you want. :D The bottom line here is that I wouldn't be doing it unless I thought (IMO of course) that it would annihilate a SC VX220 in every shape and form. :P

So you're saying the SC is at it's limit once staged 2'd? I assume you've driven one, if so what did you think?

It's great to finally see some options for the 2.2, look forward to seeing the finished product. thumbsup thumbsup

Maybe there should be a Vs on the RR at TMS to see which is the overall winner in terms of BHP :)Or we could even do it as part of the national and pit SamH Vs Rubber. That would be a challenge I would like to see chinky chinky
