First one is finished, I'm driving it home tonight. Its running on a new short engine so want to do an oil change and some road miles to run it in a bit before we dyno it.

Second one currently at Webcon having timed fit by our head tech as a dry install.

Third and fourth cars currently being stripped for cages and TB kits to be fitted on Wed and Thursday.

The good news is that install time looks like being under a day so the cost might come down.

good things come to those who wait, hopefully it will all work out for you and with an install time so fast im sure that will generate more interest, i know people dont like hanging around around but how could this be possible if u dont mind me asking?

Testing didn't quite go as planned (amazed we even got on track with all the snow) and initial dyno testing on our dyno was less than I was expecting but pwoer delivery is very smooth and the torque a straight line so very impressive. More fettling needed now on the map and the finishing otuches on the install (plenum didn't fit right etc and we'll release it. We need a stock car (with full Milltek) to fit a kit to (all of ours have cams etc) and offers? :) The install time on that car will determine price and also means we can do a before/after on same car for comparison purposes. Money back of course if it doesn't suit.

 If I've read that right, you now have a kit that doesn't perform as expected, it still needs more development and you are after a customer's car to do an install, for which they must pay you for the privilege?

If that's the state of play surely you should be paying them for using their car to helping to finish the development rather than asking them to pay you!

I can only assume I've read your statement wrong

No, not at all. We have 5 kits all on cars but 3 of these are on race cars, 1 is on our demo car and 1 is on a bog stock car with Milltek. The race cars and demo car all share the same engine builds (cams etc) and the bog stock car is exaclty that - bog stock but we only have one of those (we have 4 of the others) so I'd like a dry fit (car in then out) so we can time it right thats all. Also be nice to have another car to dyno as stock and post TB kits so we can accurately measure it as no 2 cars are alike.

Just my 2p - It has indeed been a long time from the initial annoucement (and I for one was too impatient and decided to go the SC route on my car at the time) BUT it has to be said that developing such a conversion as this will take a long time to get right unless it is to be just a "bolt on and hope" affair. Not only is there a lot of time to be put into developing the kit itself in terms of design, results produced and economic viability but the time factors of 3rd party suppliers need to be added in too. Yes the wait is very frustrating, but even speaking as a former SC convert (car now sold :beat: ), I personally think that it is great that "off the shelf" tuning and modification options are being developed on a commercial basis - personally it is one hell of a lot easier, quicker and cheaper than trying to do all the developement yourself !! Thorney - I see that the cars entered in the Elise Trophy have been moved from Class B to Class A on the listing for Brands - are they still running with the multiple TB's ? I look forward to seeing them out there mixing it up either way thumbsup

No, we can't run TB's on class A cars. The VX's were moved from B to A as the Class B had shrunk to only 3 other cars, a 340r and 2 S1 Elises with NA Honda conversions. Whilst I was happy that we could compare on power (once the race cars were to up spec which at Brands they weren't) but it made little point, the VX's weighed in at 850kg's (complete with cage and safety equipment) but the Hondas weighed in at 700kg's and there's no way we could get the VX's down to 700kg's so we moved.

So, do you want my car? It fits the bill as above... standard internals plus milltek.

Ive been lurking around here for sometime now... and gained plenty of valuble information thumbsup

Just cant help but notice that some people never seem to appreciate what people do!! Snide little digs here and there! is it really necessary!? There could be more to it i suppose.. but this particular user seems to make a habbit of it! :o

Keep up the good development work TMS... I'd rather it was well developed than rushed and have problems!

You cant beat the sound of throttle bodies B)

Hmmm....post no 1 ;)

That particular poster has owned a VX longer than this site has existed and was one of the first to look into modifing the VX. He did however investigate alternative tuners to get his work done and wasn't particulary prasied for doing so!

"there could be more to it i suppose" .....that could well be hitting the nail on the head.

Here's the car in question if you're interested:

errrr.... nope!

Just saying it as i see it to be honest mate.. thats all!

Some people just cant help themselves... proper chip on there shoulder/short arse syndrome etc..never have anything constructive to say about new ideas/developments...
