Is it just the angle of the pic or does the tps need to be taken off to change the oil filter?

Got more charts to go up, just wanted to get the meat back up now we sorted final details. Supply only kit price should be sorted today, working with Webcon to reduce the price a little (depends on their suppliers fixing some of the componant prices). You can change the filter withour removing the TB kit. The manifold is a true equal length 4 into 1, Primary Designs aren't cheap but they really are one of the very best in the World at manifold design, the design process alone took over 4 weeks let alone construction.

Why don't the charts show the claimed 30 bhp increase?

BHP gains depend on the car, on our car the TB stage 1 kit came up with 33bhp and Chris's up to 28bhp so the chart uses one of Chris's runs on his car and we always use a conservative runs on the website. Thats why we say 25-30bhp. My mistake, amended

Am I right in thinking that a Miltec, ECU remap, K&N filter & ITBs should typically produce about 195ish bhp?

Scratch the ECU remap (it has its own Alpha ECU) and the K&N filter.

Speaking of ECUs, Thorney, is it viable at some point that the kit is released with something more open - Emerald etc?

Looks like there has been some movement on the price thumbsup Back to the charts, was the same car used for the before and after plots? Only on the std plot the car looks a bit sick, only producing 138 bhp instead of 145-147 bhp. Only asking as that obviously impacts the gains of the TB kit if a different car was used for the TB plot...

We've never seen an NA at anything over 140bhp, most are 135-140bhp.

Thorney Motorsport VX220 NA Power Pack 6 - £TBC
Thorney Motorsport Throttle Body Conversion, gas flowed head, Schrick racing cams, high compression head, TMS equal length, 4 into 1 four branch manifold

Currently our ultimate level of tuning for the VX220 NA and still in testing. All we're doing now is strangthening the bottom end and we'll be going for 275-300bhp - whatever is possible.

I don't think that's correct is it? 300bhp from n/a rallly :)

also very interested in the DIY kit

IIRC the GM performance guide for this engine details mods upto 1000 bhp. Just depends how much £££ you want to throw at it. chinky chinky

Not normally aspirated though - a 300bhp TB z22se would be a worldwide first... i think :)

So stage 2 gives about +25bhp.

TB alone gives +25bhp.

Both together, - we're looking at?

It doesn't work that way, you can't just add them up.

Doesn't that manual suggest that job one is to add a supercharger? :P

There is no section on TB in the build book. It starts by bolting on a supercharger to a stock engine = 250bhp. Then they start changing internals, adding turbos etc etc...
