Thorney - do you have any further details for the second stage of tune (ie £5k with cams etc) I've had a quick scout through and can't see anything, For now, just peak power/torque and a graph would be nice - they aren't mentined on the na tuning page

Sorry mate, updating the NA pages as I've mised up the tuning and its caused more confusion. One thing though, finally got the mail order price: FUll TB kit - £2100 incl VAT

No probs, I need to save up first whichever route I take  :) That price seems even more tempting, the vx is a second car so can afford to be off the road for a bit Will it be provided with a bit of a 'how-to' (especially throttle cable etc) :)

Well i'm still very interested in these, but the 'locked' ECU blocks me a bit as there is no Webcon dealer here in France (according to their site there is one but... at the complete other side of the country) :groupjump: Do you have the DIY kits in stock John ? :)

We'll have the kits in stock this week. The kits come preset with the correct map, you wont need to visit a Webcon dealer at all. It really is plug in the kit, turn the key and off you go. We had a member turn up and have a go in ours the other day......needless to say he came back impressed.

Is it possible to get the fitting instructions posted on your website (maybe as a PDF?) I think a lot of people would like to be able to have a read of the instructions before buying, to get a good idea of whether they have the requisite skills and confidence to be able to fit the kit.

I assume your talking about me John! I was indeed impressed. Where the standard car just runs out of breath and turns into an asthmatic smoker on deaths door the tb car just leaps forward like its had a cattle prod jammed up its arse. You just cant help flooring the throttle at every possible opportunity to get the revs over 4.5k. It will be very interesting with the gas flowed head, cams and manifold etc, I doubt that smile would ever be off my face.

Cheers for the drive and the chat John. It was very worthwhile. If anyone else on here is seriously thinking about the conversion, get yourselves down there and try it out. I have had the stage 2, yes it was good but at the end of the day you never really feel like you are going that much quicker over the standard. This is a different thing altogether. Try it yourself, I'm fairly convinced you will be impressed.

I'm not a real mechanic but like to know if i could do this myself.

Hi, John any idea of the noise level? Is the kit the same for left hand drive cars?

Yep, kit same for LHD, noise wise its very different and a bit louder than a Milltek for sure but still track day friendly. Sorry about delay on fitting instrcutions, flat out here and struggling to keep up.

Hi John, How can map be preset if you start with different setup (i.e. cams, exhausts, flywheel vss stock) ? or do you map basis setup ? i.e.different maps, but surely to fine tune it should go on a dyno no ?

Yes, that would be great to read, - the more detail the better :) :D

I think if I had this conversion done & I was really enjoying it, I probably couldn't wait to share my experience with others...? :)
