Just wanted to add my bit to all this. I wanted more power from my car after the stage 3, had spoken to John before about TB's and he thought it could be possible to sort. I personally prefer this route rather than SC. This is my own choice. When we had the national this year PaulCP had his car up and running, very fast. He did take me out in it and I was impressed. Then the trouble started, not with his car, but with him :P . He tried everything within his power to get me to drive the SC beast. I just kept refusing, why? If I had of taken it I KNOW I would of been straight of to get one, and he knew it aswell. The wait without a car for so long has been terrible, but hopefully worth it!! WHEN I get it back in full form I will try and make it as easy as possible for people to get a look and pax drive. You THINK I'm letting someone else drive it!! I am hoping the power will be close to the SC, but we will have to see, but the noise should be far superior :D All in all I think the whole thing is down to personal choice, it wouldn't pay to be all the same would it? Ian

Hmmmmm ;) some interesting debate here although how some can comment without having even been in an SC'd VX220 let alone driven one is beyond me.

However for a real comparison between SC & TB the proof is in the pudding as they say. Only problem is we only have one half of the pudding :)

only a proper head to head will do thumbsup

The Stage 3, under development, which uses more internal component changes for further durability and reliability and will run to 7,000 rpm or so and current testing is producing in excess of 260 bhp.

Hi Mark,
What is the anticipated release date for the Stage 3 please ? Would be very interested to see the power and torque graphs plus costs when available please ? thumbsup
Thanks,
Steve

Tell you what......when we release the TB kits ( three stages) and Courtenay release the stage SC kits I'm happpy to get a magazine to do a head to head with all the cars and come up with a conclusion - good idea? I'm sure Courtenay would be up for it and it would be a laugh thumbsup

would have saved you alot of hassle though mate :P

and to be really honest i really do hope that the predicted 220bhp to 250bhp from the TBs can be delivered

Interesting! They look pretty short, the runners! Is it a AFPR to the left?

I think a comparison would be great for all concerned. Both cars will be more than capable. When the TB's are released we can put the Stage 2's side by side straight away. Would be a good day out too!

Hi John,

Will you be supplying this kit for self-install?

I'd imagine so, although the ECU will need mapping professionally.

Dude! Someone has nicked the rear clam!! :groupjump:

Now this is starting to look the business!

Just needs a little more bling like nice shiny braided hoses all over the place and chromed bits to go with the red trumpets

Doesn't look too bad space-wise either. The Duratec conversion on the S1 Elise has to use curved trumpets to get enough intake length in the very restricted space between the bulkhead and the engine.

Bye, Arno.

Yep. As the standard Z22SE has.

It will be really interesting to see the graphs, maybe intake length is not so important?
