I am not putting my Ducati up again as certain people take the p*ss!

So here is a blast from the past (yes I still have it, in fact my daughter uses it to get to college every day, and it woops the pants of scooters!)

Not in bad shape given it is 30 years old in September!

thumbsup Yep!!..Tis where i started (FS1E) B) ..then progessed to a GS550 and a GS850 (nice bikes) Imnotworthy B) :D

Oh yeah....23 days left :jump: :jump: :groupjump: :jump: :jump:

thumbsup Oh for sure. I remember those days with pleasure of the open road and dominence of the tarmac (2 stroke 850..gosh that could shift) Just waiting for the right time/place to return to the biker fold B) :grouphug:

Funnily enough, due to certain work pressure/problems brewing-up for awhile now, it looks like i may be coming into a little nest egg soon (£££'s) and was thinking (once i'v invested in some more property) of getting another bike.

Do the 2 stroke GS850's still exist? (been 22 years or so since i last had/saw one) :)

 Dunno mate but i wouldn't be surprised (it was sure 'hot' enough to be termed so) My best friend at the time was Knobby, who used to ride them at Silverstone and was the defining influence in me getting one (took me on the back of his race bred one a few times and even as a fearless teenager, i absolutely wet! myself...gosh he could ride that man) Imnotworthy B) :D thumbsup

Would love! to know if they're still available/around though

Anorak on:

The GS850 was a shaft drive 4 stroke & the GT750 was the water-cooled 2 stroke nicknamed 'the kettle'

Both Suzukis & I think that the GT750 would be a little older than the GS850.

Anorak off: And that's enough of me showing my age :(

Maxoverfred - very nice thumbsup
