That's one Mr Jamie (not so good on a four stroke) Robinson on his Aprillia 250 GP bike of a few years ago.

Then the fun starts thumbsup I like this bike a lot & will certainly keep it top of my list :)

Good on ya! thumbsup

Dont let them pressurise ya into a bigger bike with all the :poke: :poke:

Get some experience and bike skills on a small bike and it will be that much more rewarding and enjoyable when you make the step up! thumbsup

From the man who's 1st road bike was my mates ZX10R he lent me for 8weeks while he had a broken leg! :beat: :D :D :D

Might be risking some serious :flame: here but the VFR400, RVF400, NC30, NC35 (that whole family! ) was a great bike in their day but nowadays is very average and not particularly user friendly! Problem is that everyone remembers the great times they had on them and get a bit blinkered! Entry level bikes have come a long way since this era! thumbsup ;)

Ill just go! :( [Running away- FAST!]

Steve VFR was the predesesser(Fuk spelling :P ) the RVF nc35. thumbsup Think it was basically a prehistoric version of ram air and some bodywork changes. Agree about being blinkered, my 2000 600F was ten times the bike the RVF ever was, it's nostalgia though, a bit like looking back at spectrum games and remember how good they were, where in fact they were pretty shite. :D

CBR 600 thumbsup Hornet/Bandit maybe something along those lines, easy to ride and manouvre at slow speeds but still lots of fun. Not to exspensive if you drop it whilst getting it out the garage/garden etc. Should also be fairly easy to sell when the time comes and you want to get a sports bike. thumbsup Don't rule out the 400s though as they are a hoot. :) If you go to a dealers with your license and a few tenners they will/should let you take out a few of their bikes, that's what I done after passing my test. It's all a bit daunting at first but after your first test ride you'll want to take out all the bikes. thumbsup

Sam has hit the nail on the head with the CBR600F! thumbsup

Fantastic neutral handling first sportsbike with lightweight and super smooth ride characteristics! thumbsup

Also do the sport model CBR600FS which has a sportier split seat thumbsup but is much the same bike! thumbsup

Hondas are supremely reliable and easy to ride! thumbsup

If you dont fancy anything that sporty, Kawasakis new ER6  (gimme a break- been out of the trade for 8months now! :P ) has had some rave reviews but has a hideous headlamp!

Middle ground would be the Honda CB600 Hornet! Slightly detuned CBR600 motor (torque biased with no ram air.) in a nice narrow, agile and good looking (if a bit plain! )package!

Dont worry bout it for now- just get a 125 and enjoy! thumbsup

2 slow! :beat:  For 125s, avoid 2 strokes (expense, noisy, messy, bang, bills!). Something like the Varadero XL125v is a fantastic starter bike- Has big bike feel and stability, with super smooth ride and controls and a really nice V twin motor! thumbsup Really underrated bike- trust me! thumbsup
