Seeing those pictures got me thinking about bikes I've owned. My list, in chronological order but in the early days I had a few at the same time, is: Suzuki TS50ER (first bike bouht new at 16 after a couple of years saving every penny :) ) Honda XL125 Honda CB100N Honda CX500EC Yamaha RD350LC Suzuki GSXR1100 Katana (bored out to 1200cc :D ) Yamaha DT175 Honda CBR400RR (cruelly killed by some myopic bitch) Suzuki GSXR600 (Er, I killed this one at the Ring) Suzuki GSXR600 Yamaha XT350 Suzuki DRZ400S Honda CBR900RR Honda CBR600FV Seems like a shorter list that I thought it would be. As I've never been without a bike since being 16 it appears on average I keep my bikes for 1.7 years each, although in reality a few came and went quite quickly and some stuck around for years.

Didn't think it was that bad! It was the X7's* little brother(which is what I'd set out to buy), because of the 125 law it was cheap & it kept me on two wheels whilst I got my first couple of cars.

*For those of you that have a vague idea what an RD250LC was to a teenager in the early eighties( Imnotworthy ), the Suzuki GT250 X7 was the 'one' to have immediately beforehand. A little Suzuki dealer in Newport (Wales) has nearly finished restoring one, it was the first 250 claimed to crack the the 100mph barrier. Although it didn't in any of the tests I read! It did quite well in proddy racing, so I assume it handled OK at the time.

Ah yes, the X7, that was what I was thinking of. I'd like to get an old 350LC to tinker with. I'll never forget one they featured in an early 80's issue of Bike magazine. It was a Stan Stephens tuned cafe racer stylee 350LC, God, how much did I want that bike :P

Richy - cracking looking bike - had a good look at them at a Yam dealer on the weekend!

But what is up with the exhaust on these new R6's?? looks a bit weird - i suppose its function over form though? better perforrmance or something? anyone know?

My RD350 YPVS was Stan Stephens tuned, It used to go off the 120mph clock in fourth with 2 more gears to go! Full Formula III Allspeeds, Reed Valves (Can't remember the brand), LEDAR jet kit (The days before dynojet), very little of the original airbox & a couple of K&Ns on the end of some bellmouths. The sound was incredible B)

Used to scare the living daylights out of me with some of it's antics, so I got rid of it after a year or so.
Unbeknown to me I got spotted um, mono wheeling  through a packed town centre by my Mum & Gran, couldn't understand why I wasn't getting any sympathy from home when I rang up later to be collected because I'd come off it again :) *

*Think this is another reason why I didn't want to be a parent myself.

Gives a better centre of gravity or sumfin..

The zorst is abit funny looking but looks don't bother me, how it performs does.. over the moon with it so far.. it revs like a two-stroke on acid :P Imnotworthy Imnotworthy

Ive said it before... i still cant believe how unbelievably loud it is for a standard system .. im amazed it passed the sound test

Im having the Akra zorst, power-command and ecu chip fitted on the first service, so it should rev and sound even better.. :)

Steve i may buy a Digi gear indicator of you if the price is right ;) ;) :poke: PM or phone me thumbsup

Out on one of these tomorrow... will post piccies..
