The undisputed (no arguments right! ) best looking bike ever! And I have ridden one! Edit: not ridden the Tamburini just the Senna but pic would not upload!

Thanks guys - yes I love t hat R1 - wish I had kept it for my collection! This replaced a bike - for a while then I had to go and buy another Blade.

I see that at least 3 of us have had the Red/White/Yellow/Purple 96 Blades then ,I replaced mine with the 98 R1 pictured earlier. I've seen a few of the new 2006 R6's over the last few days including the Red/White in South Wales Superbikes R1CHY, with the red seat it reminds me of the 98 R1 I'm going to be at Ally Pally Monday afternoon til Wednesday night covering for our technical guy (help!) on the Tuesday/Wednesday. We are having a small bit of the Busters stand.

A friend of mine had an MV Augusta at the Ring, some Italian bloke reversed his car into him and trashed the front end. Still, I suppose if you're going to trash a bike at the Ring it's better to do it in the car park, much safer.

My '96 Blade was OK but after owning 600's either side of it I think I prefer them. Mind you, feeling old these days, I might be getting close to pipe, slippers and BMW ownership

£20,000 more expensive than an R1!

Id rather have a VX, ZX6R and 10k to mod them both!

Your never to old, My dads 55 and still puts his Blade to go...My uncle 60 and he got a new R1...
