Hi guys. I have had confirmation of the price from my contact now. It seems the initial guy had been a bit over zealous with his quote of 10 % off £499.99 for 5 kits. The manager said we would need 10 kits for that discount.

I managed to sweet talk him a bit further and he has agree that we can have the 10% off £499.99 if we buy 7 kits. With delivery this equates to £449.99 + £15 delivery = £464.99

Just to confirm, they do not do a turbo kit. Sorry CustardTart.

What do you guys think? I am definately on at that price.

100% in at £464.99 inc VAT & Delivery:

Could each of you on the list please email me with your full name and address to craig_barton@hotmail.com. Once I have 7 emails or more, I will email my contact with your details. You will then be able to ring the company direct and use your own credit card and delivery address. Phew, I don't think my credit card would have coped!

The guy said he would keep the offer open until mid March but I would like to get it sorted sooner as I am very excitable :D

If somebody wouldn't mind doing me a favour and double checking I have the correct kit I will sleep better. I am sure of it but you know what it's like when you are ill, your brain can function in mysterious ways.

Apopligies for the late reply but i was offshore and we lost our internet connection. I have a turbo and unfortunately i wont be needing a set. I was really looking forward to these as well. But will have to save up for some Nitrons or Ledas when they arrive. Sorry Martin

You're thinking too hard :P it's not the distance the weight is from the car but the fact that the haevy part of the shock is on the wheel side of the spring, so adding to the weight of the wheel/hub/caliper etc. This is why people are always looking to fit lighter wheels and hubs. Remember the whole point of the suspension is to minimise the car bouncing up and down, it should be the wheels moving up and down with undulations to maintain contact with the road, the lighter this bouncing bit is the better.

Yeah, that was kind of what I was thinking but I already know my mind works differently to most other people!

Ok i'm in on this too :) The nice people at Plans have quoted me for a fitting & setting-up, works out at half the price of the Nitron package, so plenty of money left over for other goodies too :P Steve

SteveM, I don't seem to have received your email. Any chance you could send it again? The guy says he will keep the offer open until mid March so we have some time. With your email we are at 4, so hopefully another 3 shouldn't be a problem. Worst case scenario is that the guy will give us a 5% discount so would total £489.99 delivered. It's not such a great deal but it's still cheaper than the normal £599 + delivery. I would probably even ask him if he would give 7% discount if we can't make 7.

I get my Christmas bonus on 6th March (don't ask!), but they don't tell me what it is in advance. But if it's half-decent I'll probably join this, if it's still open!

Shouldn't that be £499 + delivery? At least that's the price quoted in the link that you posted.

Richiemouse, you are correct as long as you were to buy them during March. £599.99 is their normal price. £499.99 + £15 is their current promotion. We would be able to get 10% off the promotion price if we can get 7 together by mid March.

BTW, we are currently standing at 4 confirmations and a fingers crossed on snoopstah.

Confirmed so far are:

LY25MAX

Keep them coming :D

You know you can get them off the Spax website for £499? (CLICKY) So £499 as a 'Promotion' sounds like a little white lie to me......

Benw, that's the same place we are getting them from. They are telling me it's a promotion on until the end of March. I have no idea whether he is lying or not but i'll be happy to pay less than £599.99 as that's how much I have seen them for elsewhere. So we need 2 more people unless I can sweet talk the guy into delaying one of the purchases until after 6th March. If I can then we only need one more. snoopstah, what's your gut feeling on this bonus? and why are they paying it to you in March? :D

It should be good, but I also have my MOT in a few days and if that costs 500 quid then I can't spend another 500 quid on suspension! I understand completely that it might not be desirable for the rest of you to wait until the 6th of March, so if you can sort out the deal before that without me, go for it. But if you haven't got the required number before the 6th and the offer's still open there's probably an 80% likelihood I'll be in.
