Hi, what happened to the damaged LY at Quality Salvage EJ52NRU? Thought it was a bit expensive, but bought a blue NA, which turned out to be worse than described! Would liketo know what happened though.

no :(

got a photo though

It has a VSE bu the looks of it, and a VX220.org.uk sticker. How do you get those?!? It had quite bad sill damage and had hit the chassis.

Got more pics if anyones interested...

may be the light it was in a huge barn, surprised no one has heard of it, as it was obviously a member at some point, or so the sticker leads us to believe. It was in Autotrader for ages at around £8k I think.

I disagree, I think that does look like LY. Inside, in artificial light, it doesn't have that sparkly effect you get in sunshine.

Pretty sure that LY is TTs old car which would make it number 24. (remember EJ52) Repaired by discovery channel (not very well) at the beginning of the year.

Yeah sorry it's taken me a little time to reply to this, but that is my old car for sure!

It's number 24. No idea why it had Turbo lights on it though - certainly didn't when I sold it

As James has said it was bought by Discovery Real Time and rebuilt for a programme called Wrecks to Riches. Paint finish is rather questionable and as far as I know it lacks a soft top at the moment as well. Seems to have vanished since being on the programme

IIRC it only had rear tubby lights as well, looked very odd with the NA fronts. I don't think they changed them during the "repair".

LY 82 is currently on ebay at the mo (damaged). We went and had a look at it earlier today. Its in a poor state. Chassis damage etc. Its only done 4500 miles though and apparently 1 owner  Hate to see vxs like that. It doesnt help that its being kept outside under a cover and its been stripped ready for repairs. One of the seats has been unbolted and is laying accross the other one with a pile of parts in the cabin :beat: :(
