I had lined up to go view ly98 this sunday as there was no mention either on the advert or from the owner after speaking to him about it previously being written off!!
Anyone else got any info on this car?
i saw that in the trader. If its not been written off then the price is cheap as fook mate. I think it probably has.

Ive got myself a car now, but i took it upon myself to phone back the owner of ly98 to see if he knew about the rebuild on it. He said he was aware of it but only after he had purchased the car. He said he was promised the hpi check from the previous owner, who said he had it done and it came up as clear. He never recieved the hpi check and he later found out the history of the car from a local vauxhall dealership who knew the car. He later had the car checked over by a specialist who gave it a clean bill of health.
Just thought i would let you all know what he had said regarding it.
somebody lost a lot of cash then. Lesson learnt to complete a HPi check prior to the sale.

Still rather naughty* not to have told you when you looked at it, irrespective of whether he was duped when he bought it.Ive got myself a car now, but i took it upon myself to phone back the owner of ly98 to see if he knew about the rebuild on it. *naughty - extremely dodgy, if not illegal to knowingly fail to disclose such info. Be interested to see if he had any documentation from said 'specialist' confirming it was ok.
You're assuming he's telling the truth, and didn't buy from a salvage yard with a view to making a quick buck from a cheap repairsomebody lost a lot of cash then. Lesson learnt to complete a HPi check prior to the sale.
