Cyberman - there's different version of TIS 2000 on CD floating around. Older copies like mine don't have the VXT on them.

Has anyone got TIS 2000 v 2003.17.00 or above - I think these ones have the VXT. And you need this version to install the latest updates from GM's site > here < . I tried it and it doesn't update my version properly.

TIS = Technical Information System: Vauxhall/Opel/GM database for Windoze PCs that includes service manuals, wiring diagrams, checking procedures, known problems etc.

It sounds exciting, but is actually quite poorly implemented. The keyword searching is hopeless. But it's better than nothing...

I think my version is an early 2002 version and hasn't got the VXT in it, But i havent looked to deeply so might be wrong.

Just to be clear; isn't the idea that everyone who has a copy makes a couple (or three) more to pass on. The recipients then do the same. That way we'll have hundreds of copies before too long. The idea is NOT for one very kind person to have to run off loads of them. So when you receive your shiny new copy could you post the good news in this thread and then the first 3 to PM you will get a copy. I think you should then post up who you are sending them to so everyone knows to stop hassling you and who to hassle next... capiche? And, has anyone managed to find a version with the VXT on it? It would probably be best to use that as the master copy instead of the ageing on I have... And to get the ball rolling: I have sent (ages ago) to Huntsman__ and iandhd. Look you don't need to use these discs once loaded so rather than copying just send them on. Your only going to need them if you have a problem with your computer.
