Thought I'd taken out the drivers mirror on the shed last night - was on my way home through quite a narrow village and a car coming the other way came too close on my drivers side and we contacted mirrors pretty hard at about 30mph. My mirror was folded in, with the glass hanging on by the wires that heat it. But it's a tough old beast - when I got back and had a look, I folded the mirror back out, the mirror glass wasn't broken at all and I think with a bit of fiddling I can re-attach it and have it working again :D

You are right though, they are! But if you want one, I'm about to put mine up for sale. Cheap as chips!

I know a nice white corsa for sale. diesel too, you can have it boxing day if you want. I'm off to france for a few days next week and haven't got time to sort anything in the meantime.

New clutch
New rad
New injectors
new gearbox seals

Runs like a dream :D

I am in Milton Keynes, but the car is at my parents house in St.Neots (Cambridgeshire) at the moment. I am in the process of getting a new battery for her which is all she needs. MOT till September, taxed to end of Feb, and only 19,000 miles from new (genuine too!). make for a really cheap as chips shed if you are interested?

Woo to the resilience of Rover/Honda parts!! Managed to get the mirror back together (despite it being fooking freezing so my fingers would work properly) today and it works just fine - no broken glass and all the electric adjustment and heater works :D

have you SEEN my car?!!! it also needed some new wiper blades and a stack of other bits and bobs. i have done nothing to it since i bought it through lack of time. i didn't think it would get through tbh :o

£300 for a year's MoT is fine by me. i'll save more than that by not running the vx thumbsup

That's more than my budget for the purchase of a shed!

one year's shedding for an outlay of £300 is pretty good imo

Is it time we set some ground rules for what Shedding should cost? What do you reckon, no more than £1,000 purchase price but the lower the better? No more than £? a year spent on it?

Yeah I agree. Anything over £1k (annual cost incl actual car, tax, insurance, upkeep etc) should not be considered as a 'shed'.

I'm getting mine in January. Can't wait to see what sh1t I buy!

I drove an Opel Kadett -88 the first winter (04) without a VX :drink: after that winter it was scrapped as it was a total wreck :D So the winter -05 I didn't have any shed so had to manage without a car which was no problem as I could work from home by then :P This winter I borrow my dads old Audi A6 as he recently bought a very very nice and comfy Audi A4 -04 :)
