seems like a peach thumbsup. have a good look at the pump when you view it and make sure it's a bosch. they look totally different to lucas pumps, plus they have the word 'bosch' on them if you look careully :P so you're definitely going to veg it then? 205s are excellent little cars, my family owned 3(!) at one point, my Mum had a GT, my sis had a GLD (she said that stood for 'great little diesel' ) and i had a Gti . as i've said to James previously, they were the great reliable little car to have the generation of vehicles before the corsa came out. i'd have a 205 GTi again without a moment's thought, i really miss mine :( iirc the only place they really rust badly is the front of the rear wheel arch, where it meets the sill thumbsup

Even my dad has bought a shed lol.... He got given a 99/2000 Seicento Sporting... for £50 :) Got a rusty fuel tank, but Fiat have said that there is a good chance it's covered under warranty for corrosion. Thing is.... For £325 I've got a guaranteed 6months motoring (inc insurance etc) as it's Taxed and Tested til end of May. If it passes MOT great, if not... well never mind. It really is that simple. I went to start the S last night... battery dead! I've not driven it for 2 weeks!

My Cinq Sporting was subject to a fuel tank recall while I had it.

Yep, thats what he's found out from Fiat Customer Services. They said to take it to a stealer for photos to be taken and it's more than likely covered under the corrosion warranty/recall.

Insurance on the 205 is £100 for the year fully comp, added to my existing policy no MOT on the IOM (so its cheaper but you have to be that bit more careful buying an old car) now to find a local bulk veg oil source...

The vx has a trickle attached to it at all times, because i forget how long i leave it between drives. Hey, can you get redrow to clean the roads please :P, the shed is fithy at the moment so much so i have a nice muddy streak up my suit trowsers  I convinced a friend of mine to go vegging in a corsa yesterday. Soon we are going to have to keep it quiet or the whole country will realise.
