so i can sound w@nky and 'reduce my carbon footprint'

Buy some smaller carbon shoes then

i'm binding my carbon feet up and squeezing them into some smaller carbon open toed sandals.

if the government are going to discout my fuel for 2 hours worth of alchemy a month, i'll say whatever they want me to.

and in theory burning fuel that has absorbed co2 in it's growing is better than getting it out of the ground.

if you exclude the harvesting, packaging and transportation to the chippie i get it from thumbsup

edit: and the same goes for the methanol, sodium hydroxide and bits i'm making my reactor from.

edit edit: reading sh1t i posted nearly a week ago TT? slow afternoon is it? :poke: ;)

other than being a total skinflint the other reason that i want to do the biodiesel thing is so i can sound w@nky and 'reduce my carbon footprint'.

I've just got the confirmation in that you have been nominated for the "Most Utterly Wanky Thing Said in 2006" award.

Carbon footprint? Please, for the love of God, tell me you're joking.

Worry not Jim, I've upped his warning level for talking like that

Screw the "carbon footprint" - when i do 300 miles for work i want to pocket all £120 of it, not shell out £45 for 10 gallons of petrol thumbsdown

The missus only gets 13p a mile

Finacial considerations are fine. Just not this phoney baloney hippy shite the braindeads are peddaling at the moment.

it's running on half a tank of 99 RON tesco super unleaded as i had a momentary lap of concentration at the pumps on saturday. so my carbon feet have currently got steel toecaps on them. and the shed has an even longer 0-60 time for the time being

Ant, Presumably (or not these days) you have the insurance details of the other party esp. if it was not your fault.

My shed let me down last night :( well we just made it home. Thought it was just the auxilary belt that had gone slack, due to the squeeling.

This morning i had a look and the previous owner only reattached the alternator with one bolt :beat: . Wasn't going to last very long and in the end it fatigued the chassis of the alternator and cracked it. That in isn't really a problem as the other bolts will hold it pretty well.

But i have never seen something as badly engineered as this though, can you beleive the oil pump is on the back of the alternator. Thus if an auxilary belt breaks which usually would get you home, in this case stops engine oil pressure! Completely stupid.

i'll get a courtesy car as the vx is strictly for pleasure (ooh matron) nowadays.

starting to feel quite sorry for the shed now :( i'd only done about 3k in it :(

spose i'll have to start dreaming of a 1527cc 106 with a rear washwipe and intermittent wipers. doubtless i'll get another warning for that!

oh dear When i picked up the old girl the header tank was empty  Filled it up and she "drank" the lot over 100 miles. Couple of spoons of medicine (radweld :D ) and this was cut to a fill every 1000 miles thumbsup Checked last week fine, 3/4 full. Checked today after little use and its bloody empty :o Lucky i did just before the missus went 130 miles. Hope its not the final throws of a HGF.....
