lol right you go to your car and get in ok you put the key in and the power comes on its dark outside so you think hey i need the lights on you then pres the left button (sidelights) then you press the button next to that (main beam) (h1) you then drive off there are other cars about so thats ok then you get to a dark country lane and there is no one about so you press the indicator stalk forward to get even more light (full beam) (h7)

Ok, so this is more complicated kit...just wondering how representitive this is to fit the kit in theis Group Buy? I don't mind wiring, but drilling holes in the vx seems a bit harsh!

The holes you need to drill are only in the black rubber caps on the back of the light units.

The ballasts are mounted either with self tapping screws or you can drill 3 tiny holes in the plastic near the crash box.

I'm ordering H7s as it's for my Audi not the VX. I already have HIDs in my VX. They're a HELL of a lot brighter and as such are a lot more useful for seeing the road, and for people seeing me. In fact I drive around now with the headlights on most of time.. The kit is easy to install and took me about 30 mins a side. I didn't have to drill anything, although I did re-crimp some of the kit's connections to make it completely removeable without trace... -andy-

Thanks - looking at the 1st photo, is this a Clam off job? or did you just take it off to make life easier?

So far I have a list of 13 kits needed I think that's not including phillos and I need nos. I really need to order 20 to get that price, so could do with a few more people. In that photo the clam is off, but it's not a clam off job to fit them at all. I simply mounted it whilst I had my front clam off to replace the grille and fix some front splitters.

Right, got an update :) The kits will be paid for in advance by my mate. That way there's no concerns about them not turning up or getting lost in the import process. I will then take every set, check them over and send them out once a cheque is sent to me.

are these of any particular make? the ones they sell on elise shop are the hurricanes that are quite well known, and also if i order a h1 kit (main beam) wont the lens in our lights distort or blur the light as there kind of magnifed lens as opposed to clear like the outer casing??

Yeah that would be fine, I imagine they'll take a little while to arrive anyway.

i need nos - They are unbranded, simply meaning no labels attached. In every case I know of, labels are simply attached to the ballasts, I'm happy for anyone to correct me but I believe "Hurricane" is simply the label attached to a generic unit. Apparently there are only 3 factories which produce the kits. I'm sure I could ask for ones with labels attached, but you'd have to may for the priviledge!

Regarding the main beam, that shouldn't make any difference, it is simply reflecting a brighter bulb, that's it.

The kits should be here very soon now. My mate paid via bank transfer but the bank rejected it as there was no recieving bank address, which didn't matter before. Anyway, bit of a cock up, but I guess a week or so :) As an aside, I will have 5 kits spare :o Due to people not paying me and the 2 I bought extra in case anyone wanted any. If anyone wants a kit, let me know :)

They are being shipped on friday :)

Just heard back about the HIDs, the person I was dealing with has been ill in hospital & is only back today - she apologise profusely for the delay in her foreign way (she desirous to keep my relationship lol).
