Costs for the Weber alpha gold kits are around £1500.00 + vat see here:

http://www.webcon.co...phaPlusKits.htm

The vx kits may well be more due to fly by wire throttle and small volumes though a bet plenty of 2.2 Astra owners would be interested?

I had the silver kit (twin 45 carbs) on a 2.0l zetec engine with a 4 branch manifold to a straight through exhaust in a Tiger Super 6 (Westfield clone). It sounded fantastic but the gold kit (TB) sounded almost as good :D .

I would love them on the vx. B)

There seems to be a bit of excitement on z22se.co.uk about these, although for most as on here they remain in the realms of fantasy

Going back to the noise those clips sound awesome, but would we be talking over 100dB? I'm thinking for track use.

I would imagine that the fitted price will be a fair chunk more than supply only, as there's a fair amount of work involved in fitting them :beat: I will get a set if the price is right :P and TMS being 15 minutes away I suppose I could even collect them

My mate has just bought this...

C20XE on Webber Alpha Throttle bodies basically standard apart from heavy duty rod bolts and different cams and a Joe Ellis BTB exhaust (which is what SBD etc use)It was a car Courtenay have done..

Posted Image

I'll get a sound file of it when he takes me for a spin..

At idle the car is very quiet and stays that way until you stamp on the throttle then all hell brakes loose!! B) I would say the car isnt as loud as my XE on SBD/Jenvey set up, which i suppose is probably a good thing considering the engine is right behind your head in the VX!! :D But it still sounds very nice!! B)

Whats the latest then... anyone know?

Cheers

Nick chinky chinky
