Rob, going to see how it goes first. Problem is the more you add the more expensive the kit becomes.

Ian

Very true, very true indeed!

Hope to see some results soon and more importantly I hope you are chuffed with the outcome! thumbsup

Sounds awesome! Can you give us some more details about what you have had done on the car?

Thanks chinky chinky

Sorry again, haven´t seen the answer :(

So its a complete Komo-Tec Exhaust-line (manifold, cat, backbox) combined with the zz-stock-airfiltermod (kicking out the silicone tube out of the engine bay for better intake sounding, but you don´t hear anything from that, cause the manifold is too determinant B) )

Pictures could be asked for, I can´t post any

So, if you have any soundfile of TBs let me know. I´m totally curios about some :)

:( Just looked into this.... Ian, Your car (prior to TB's) would have cost £4250 in mods.....so by my key stage 1 maths, its going to cost at least 6k to get a TB'ed version of the same. I hope the results are good (not that hopeful on the TMS RR though) Sadly I fear this mod is going to be a country mile away from my £££ ability......I will have to be a little more patient and wait for the lower TB versions then? :(

Jules I take it that's without the suspension, wheels and tyres!!! Shouldn't add it up really. Anyway once mine is done, that is most of the hard work done. Therefore the other options shouldn't be long coming mate. Ian

I guess the first kits will be higher priced to try and recoup some of the dev costs, even tho a lot of that was down to knackered cams etc?

Rubber,

Any more thoughts about a 'ram air' type snorkel cold air feed?

We discussed it briefly whilst I was at TMS a while ago...

Rob

I spotted an MR2 with a snorkel last week, it looked well smart.

I'd def. be up for one of these.

My car was knackered yes, but the people who buy the kits wont be made to pay for that, wouldn't be right.

Never works like that, the development costs are worked out as a % over the anticiapted likely sales of the kits like with any development cost, this does mean of course that until we break even we'll 'lose' money on every kit - c'est la vie thats life.

As to costs, all we've got thus far is conjecture. It would make no sense for us to price this so that it wouldn't sell, at the same time it needs to be priced to take into account the development costs and the performance gains it achieves. A SC kit is £5175 plus exhaust (£1k) and that supposedly generates 240bhp (not seen any charts other than Courtenays so always have an open mind on what it generates here) so those are the target numbers.

Its my belief (not gospel as the numbers haven't been crunched yet) that the basic kit will come in around the £2500 mark, the stage 2 kit (with full Milltek) at around £3500 and the full deal (Schrick cams, head work, flyhweel etc) at about £7000 but this is still all guesswork.

Webcon are away on holiday this week but next week we expect the car back to us for testing, I'll know more then.

hmmm, sounds "interesting" :) So as I already have the milltek etc, I could get the lower kit and it becomes Stage2 TBs etc. Same for you Jules...

Didn't realise that Courtenay's had increased their prices for the SC kit

Amended, sorry. The £5500 number was from conversations over what options you needed for a stage 2 I had with Jon a little while ago.

Any ideas how much power the basic kit would give?

Any news when the official announcement will be on prices, expected power etc. As a stage 2+ owner, I could be interested if the numbers stacked up.... :)
