All 4 of my OEM n/a alloys have P.T. marrked on them, looks like i'm in for a set of new rear alloys :) (52 plate, build no. 4166)

Do recalls have a must do by date? As I'd like to wait until I get next years service done at Thorney. All 4 of my n/a alloys have P.T. marked on them. (03 plate build No 3551) So I guess they need changing.

As I understand it from this thread they will be looking for [HT] printed on the inside of one of the spokes. If they have [HT] then they have been heat treated so will be ok and not need replaced.

I'm booked in with Murketts of Cambridge. Serice guy asked if I had a letter with a recall number on it. I just told him I had spoke to Vauxhall Customer Services to find out if I had any outstanding recalls.
He had no problem with booking me in then, he said they may or may not follow it up with a letter. He was more bothered that I hadn't bought the car from their garage

Underwoods in Colchester replaced the long section from the front to the rear up to the one way valve and did not replace the foot long section into the engine!!!!

I pointed this out and they were adament they only had to replace that much and did the same with all other cars!!!!!!

Oh, and they've done the same to all previous cars in the recall (about 7 there today alone!). So if you've had yours done at Underwoods in Colchester I suggest you go back and get them to do it properly.

Ref wheels. I've had confirmation from Vauxhall that the LY wheels are unaffected as these were all heat treated.

Mine went in Perrys of Doncaster today for some work, I had also asked them if they could look into the recalls due. When I dropped it off they told me because it was out of warranty I did not qualify, well I was pretty sure it would still be covered? but knew there would be no chance of them having wheels available so left it at that. Hopefully I will use this as an argument for a free service for my inconvenience etc etc :D we will see.

Coco....so do you have black LY wheels with no HT stamp? Warranty makes no difference these are recalls so the warranty period is immaterial.

Am I right in assuming that the rubber servo vacuum-hose is to be replaced with a metal(?) version under the recall? I had my original hose replaced under warranty last October when it split, however it was replaced with a brand new rubber one. Also w.r.t. the rear wheels issue, I purchased two replacement rears earlier in the year, both of which have the P.T. stamp not the H.T. one. One of these is now on the car following a puncture. Following Thorney's post I'm assuming I can just trade the P.T. wheels in for new ones even though I will not receive a letter from vxl. Has anyone else been in a similar situation. Finally what does P.T. stand for? Many thanks in anticipation Wayne

No Wayne the new Servo Hose is Rubber. Mick I haven't received a recall letter yet but phoned Vauxhall who confirmed that I needed the recalls, as my car was going in for a service Monday I just phoned Underwoods and they did it while it was in. But as Muncher said above they haven't replaced the hose after the non return valve in the engine bay. Are other dealers replacing the hose from the non return value to the engine as part of the recall?? Michael
