Had mine in at F G Barnes in Guildford, along with several others I saw down there....

Just got a call and they havent got any 'bonding glue', and neither have Vauxhall. So can't carry out my brake hose thing :(

Hope they get it by Thursday as mine is booked in then, let me know how you get on otherwise I'll call them on weds for an update thumbsup

Just a little post to clarify matters re: the hose.... Mine had the 'tails' replaced last year FOC by vaux as a warranty rework...including the non return valves. I pointed this out to JT/TMS at the service last month at TMS...and I got the impression that it was the first they had seen done like that. I always considered it a bit of a bodge tbh. Mine is booked in for the whole pipe replacement now.....so do yourselves a favour and insist on the same thumbsup I might add the 'partial' pipe replacement is logged on my cars history by vauxhall ;)

They look ok thumbsup

Phil (one post up) Its my understanding that ALL vx220's needed the brake hose rework....

That's what I thought. But the girl at the Vauxhall Recall centre assured me it didn't. Even when I asked her to check. I'll maybe call up again and see if I get the same story.

Are they doing the wheels as well? I just bookd mine into TMS and John has been told by Vauxhall that none of the LY's are affected despite the fact that LY wheels seemed to be stamped PT. Sounds very suspicious to me, surely the LY wheels are exactly the same as other NA PT marked wheels but were just painted anthracite instead of silver

OK just read back a few pages, Cocopops & razorsharp192 did you get anywhere with getting your wheels changed? Any build numbers after 3331 had wheels changed, silver or anthracite?

they are checking the wheels. Amanda's have been ordered so as such, i am expecting mine to be replaced. But will let you know. I asked the dealership and the said if they dont have HT on them, then they will be getting replace regardless of colour.

Vauxhall are so incompentant! The LY wheels obviously pre-date silver PT wheels that are being changed. The wheels are marked PT, they are not marked HT and so should be replaced. I don't want to be driving around with wheels I have no confidence in!!!! It wouldn't suprise me if some plank at Vauxhall thinks the queries about the black wheels relate to the later speedlines!

I was told that no LY wheels were affected by the dealer and vauxhall technical dept. i asked them to explain the difference and all they said was that they were fine, it is definatly down to the cost methinks.......

Because they totally forgot that there are 200 anthracite rear wheels out there, none marked HT, their own criteria for replacement.
