So presumably all cars in a certain batch / age range will need their rears changed (i.e. the ones that are listed on the recalls database) and the 7.5J is just to ensure the dealers only change the rears and don't get confused with the re-call and change the fronts too

Yep, 'spose so thumbsup Makes sense to me.

Can't we just get Vauxhall to tell us the VIN range? Then we'll all know about the wheels at least.

That's to make sure no dealers have put the fronts on the back at service time and the more crap VX owner didn't notice :D

Anyone called about an LY yet? Diff alloys I guess?

Lee, this will be interesting if they are affected since there is AFAIK no stock of LY alloys. When i had to have one of my rears replaced 2 years ago my dealer had to spray a normal wheel. (made a good job though)

Vauxhall recalls haven't been briefed on the wheels issue yet so can't give out any information until the end of the week at the earliest, but they do acknowledge it.

Well apparently, my VX IS in the range....
So we'll have to see what happens with replacement wheels............

Just seen the other thread so apparently I need to look for HT on the inside of the wheels....

Spoke to John, basically they don't make that wheel anymore....

So...
I am awaiting a call back from customer services.

I think the easiest option is to have new rears and get all four painted as close to the LY colour as possible.
Or...
See if I can convince them to get a dealer credit and replace all four wheels with something else ;)

Mine's booked in for both - from what I could see looking over the guy's shoulder, the brake hose recall affects all build numbers up to something in the 7000 range, and the wheel recall affects all build numbers up to something in the high 3000 range (39xx I think).
