thread hijack alert!

Can I just say if you guys like driving games then you have got to try Rollcage, downloadable from: http://www.planetrol...m/downloads.htm

Both rollcage 1 & 2 are both for the pc and I've been playing rollcage 1 since the weekend (I originally downloaded it about 5 years ago). The basic gist of it is that you get to race cars that are seriously skittish if you don't keep it smooth (very like a VX then) and also you get weaponry with which to blast your opponents, wormholes, time distortion and turbo boosts!

According to the speedo on the screen speeds reached are usually around 350-400 kph. Two turbos will boost that to 600 kph and then you promptly crash but the cars are apparently indestructible. However they will fly and also it is also possible to destroy the local scenery.

Its very silly but it takes up all of 70mb on your pc. But you will need a joystick otherwise if you lose control you can't sort the oversteer with a gamepad type controller.

Prem pack with extra controller and driver controls plus TDU. £280 (at PC World right now ). Cant remember who was on about buying their own one but fecking hell this deal cant be sniffed at.

I got mine through the misses but without the driver controls £280.

The 250 GTO, Lamborghini Countach 25th Anniversary and Noble M400 were all confirmed in last months xbox live newsletter I'd be disappointed to see the CCR and C6 convertible though. They're great cars and all, but we have an 'egg and C6 already, they're just not different enough for me. Same goes for the Noble M400. On the other hand, I'm really looking forward to the 250 GTO, Countach and Ruf - if the Ruf makes it

Im happy to be Vice, I was joking about always playing CoD3 ive got a tonn of new games but still get drawn to TDU for some reason so I wont be staying away.

Question- me and my bro were playing online last night, we could race together but is there a way where we can both drive freely together on the map? as even when we were in exactly the same location we couldnt see each other online, but could see loads of other players.

Hi and welcome! Another TDU convert.. You can cruise the island together, as long as you are on the same server. Here's what you need to do (sorry if it reads like an idiots guide!): 1. Get in a private chat room through the guide button, so at least you can speak while you're trying to meet up. 2. One of you will need to just sit on the road and wait for the other person to show up. Don't wait on the map screen though, just sit in your car on the side of the road so that the other person can find you easily. 2. The other person will need to go into the gps map and press RB or LB to change the information on the gps screen to players/people. press X to open the filters and change it to friends (at the bottom). 3. Highlight the friend on the gps screen using the sticks/d-pad and press A (not B ), it should say 'go to' or similar. You'll zoom down to where they are. 4. Wait a few seconds for the server to connect (literally a couple of seconds) and if they're not there, go back into gps and highlight the friend and press A to 'go to' again. Repeat until you find them. It doesn't always work first time, so be patient. 5. When you finally find them on the road with you, press left on the d-pad a few times and you will see their name on a player list, possibly with other names. Press down until you highlight their name, and press right on the d-pad a couple of times, following the instructions to 'lock player'. The other person will have to accept the lock request. It's not essential, but it's meant to help keep you together on the server. Now cruise! Remember though that every time one of you goes into the gps screen, you'll lose contact, and have to do it again. It get's very easy after a couple of times though, so it's no big deal. Another thing, remember that you might still be in private chat, so if anyone else finds you they won't be able to hear you until you go back into game chat. Finally, you cannot join anyone with (N/A) by their name on the gps screen. That could mean they are in a house, race, showroom, shop etc.. I hope that makes sense!
