Still need to do Tantalus

Tried Tantalus last night thought I should get it out the way.

what a BITCH it is.... i cant even make it to the end let alone do it within the time limit, closest i got was in a caterham i was 1 mile away green light at a junction and something pulls out on me and i get 20 penalty points will have another go tonight

Wait until you see how much time gets added for all the lost damage points

My best time so far is just under 7:44 including time penalties. Best time for completing the course without time penalties is around 7:06.

BTW, I suggest that you don't follow the sat nav.

- When you first turn right onto a dual carriageway, take the "correct" side of the road (first right not second, which is the side the satnav suggests). Continue on but don't turn left where the satnav says, take the third (?) left (it leads to a 6-way crossroads which you go straight across).

or

- As above at right-hand turn onto the dual carriageway, but then take the first right immediately under the motorway and circle round on to the motorway (ignore the "you're going in the wrong direction" ). You end up taking the third or fourth exit which the satnav correctly suggests.

I found the second route last night and it seems slightly quicker.

Pause the game, go to options, then game settings (i think..), then stake, then press X to tick the box, then press down to go to the stake amount and adjust it with left for less, right for more..

Let me know if that works, it's only from memory, and I last did it about a month ago..

I bought a Maserati 3500 GT on trade at the weekend, lovely car! How on earth did it take so long for them to get trade back up though, crazy.. It was obviously because of the huge number of updates included in this patch, which I'll try to post up later, but still too long a wait for most people I reckon. Did you guys know that the patch included 'improved motorcycle handling'? I took a bike for a spin yesterday, albeit on my brothers machine, and it felt much slower to lean into turns. I thought the difference was huge, but he might have his steering sensitivity down. Has anyone noticed much difference? Seeing as this is the unofficial xbox 360 thread now.. Crimson.. Good games on COD3! Sorry about last night, I felt like playing a bit more Gears before I went to bed, and I knew that if I started on COD3 at 2230, I wouldn't get off until 0100 or something! To go with the 0400 end on Friday night, I finished playing it at 0300 on Saturday night.. stupid game!! I'll get back on it again this week and hopefully snipe you a few times..

Test Drive Unlimited Title Update 2 on Xbox Live

Test Drive Unlimited for Xbox 360â„¢ gets a serious tune up as thousands sign on daily for a blast of racing reinvented

Following the runaway success of Test Drive Unlimited on Xbox Live, Eden Games and Atari have delivered a host of enhancements with ‘Title Update 2’, available now on Xbox Live as a free automatic download to anyone with an Xbox Live connection.

Amongst the improvements in ‘Title Update 2’ are the reinstatement of E-trade, changes which make finding and racing with friends easier, further fine-tuning of the bike handling, a number of modifications to the clubs to improve usability, fixes to prevent ranking anomalies, the removal of a number of exploits (online and offline), crash fixes, upgrade of the server connection, improvements to grid vehicle positioning and more.

Microsoft provides product updates to anyone with a Live connection, even without a paid membership. If you have an Xbox Live connection, you will be prompted to download the update.

In addition to the update, as a result of the new motorbike dynamic and because of errors with some of the worldwide rankings, on Monday 20 November Eden Games will reset the following in-game worldwide server rankings for technical reasons (rankings saved locally will not be affected):
- Solo Time Challenge rankings
- Solo Speed Challenge rankings
- Solo Race Challenge rankings

The following rankings will remain unchanged:
- Ladder rankings in multiplayer Speed & Race Challenges
- Instant Challenge rankings
- Club rankings

An in-game message will be sent on Friday 17th November via the news system warning players three days in advance of the reset. Eden Games and Atari apologize in advance for any inconvenience caused.

The fixes and enhancements in ‘Title Update 2’ are as follows:


Enhancements:
• Motorbike handling tuned
• Easier to find your friends in Freeride: select the “friends” filter and click on a player to be automatically dropped in his playing session if session is not full
• Improvements to the management of game sessions in Freeride
• Speed filter added to prevent players from achieving impossible speeds in Speed Trap and Speed challenges
• Replay sequences improved

General:
• Menus: MY COUNTRY filter now fully loads when checking ranking leaderboards in the house
• Various crashes resolved
• Various exploits removed
• Progression no longer lost due to corrupted save games
• Player now always spawns at the correct house after reboot
• Gameplay fix: player can no longer irretrievably lose the current vehicle
• Microfreezes fixed
• Now possible to revert to normal paint after deluxe paint job


Multiplayer:
• E-trade now fully functional
• Clubs: no longer any issues when multiple inter- or intra-club challenges are hosted at the same time in the same club
• Players can now see each other after an Instant Challenge in Free Ride (previously if two users completed an Instant Challenge and returned to Free Ride with no other users in the session, the two users could not see each other in the session)
• Vehicle restriction must now be obeyed when accepting game invite
• Car now always correctly positioned on the starting grid, regardless of how many players enter and exit lobby
• Vehicles of players with low ping rates no longer show erratic behavior and disrupt gameplay
• Intermediate speed shown for speed challenges now always correct
• Host no longer always placed at the rear on starting line
• News messages of club invitations are no longer delayed or lost
• Drive in: limitation of 255 challenges posted removed
• Drive in: going down the first page in the list of challenge no longer makes the details of further custom challenges wrong
• Drive-in: challenges are now listed after completion of a challenge
• Incorrect record speed no longer cited in Speed Trap challenges
• Instant Challenges: Cars now always start at same point
• Gameplay: Player now able to accept Invitation to a Club after being ejected from another
• Multiplayer Races: vehicles now do not lack collision at beginning of race
• Monthly Multiplayer rankings are now based on a monthly frequency
• Users can now switch to Ready when accepting an Invitation from an Extra Challenge
• Time rankings fixed
• Speed rankings fixed
• Various exploits removed
• Police AI issues when disconnected from Xbox Live fixed

after playing the saints row demo i purchased it yesterday.. i love it lol. its far far better than GTA (imho).. i really need to get some sort of racing game for this entertainment, but i wasnt over enamerd bt the TDU demo lol

The TDU demo is pants compared to the full game.

I traded in Saints Row for TDU once I finished Saints Row

Oh and Tif:

I bought Gears Of War today too. along with a Digi box for my bedroom and a DVD Recorder (TV one) from Tesco spent like £150 in one go....

But then again looking forward to the all night sessions this weekend with it!!!

Let me know what you think of Gears? At the moment I'm loving it, it's pretty different from most games I've played. The dialogue is great too, pretty funny in places. I did some Rainbow Six co-op last night with Nutfuzz and F1 CJE UK, great fun. That is one hardcore shooter, can't wait for it to be released!

Hi guys following my car crash I have been off sick for two weeks (back at work now and fine). I got plenty of gaming done during my time off. I completed TDU and just to be anal I bought every single car and painted all the ones I could in black. I managed to clock up 4k miles on my Sagaris (yup time on my hands). I bought Ghost Recon AW and tbh thought it was great and really good in mulitplayer although it did have its bad connection issues. I got gears of war too. Feck me amazing graphics and feels great to play. The mulitplayer is not as good as single imho. But what I do like is you can go co-op with your mate and not have anyone bothering you. the Berserker made me sh*t myself first time round lol. - Noble

I got em but not tried it yet.

one of the free ones isnt in the dlode pack but if you do buy the 6 car pack there is no need to dlode the cady car (i think thats the brand) as its the same as the full pack but with only 1 car unlocked from it.
