OK!! Wow what a game. Lastnight I test drove some cars won all my little races and delivered some shopping bought a Super7 and uncovered some of the island. Im currently trying to unlock the bike constructors by visiting all the car garages first.
Couple of questions:
Single player mode.
1) How do I win cars? or aquire them. I have had to buy cars and im doing races that are about 5k-10k. I delivered to ferrari's for 80k each.
2) I can challenge my 'bot' friends. How do I set a stake? Can we race for cars?
3) Has anyone got a list of all cars and how to go get them? I can access game sites from work.. PDF, maybe?
Multiplayer (Xbox live) mode:
1) can some one who runs their xbox through a telewest surboard modem give me some pointers in how to get online please?
2) Please can you guys list your online names so that I can add you all to friends.
Thanks, Craig
I think I've only won one car outright and I can't remember how I did that, it might have been the 'island tour' race. My strategy was to do a lot of cruising first, because every time you drive past a race start point it gets added to your gps map. You should drive past lots of car delivery missions and they bring in the big money! If you do them perfectly, you'll get something like a $40,000 bonus on top of the original reward, which is nice!
To set your stake, pause the game and go into options, then game settings, then stake. I think you have to press X to tick the box and then you can adjust the stake amount.

I haven't seen a list of all the cars, but you should have a big map in the game box with the instructions that tells you where all of the dealers are. I think checking each dealer is the best bet. That's what I did. Also, go into the marketplace once you have set-up xbox live, then games, then new releases, and search for test drive and download the free car pack (it's free!). You have to buy the cars in game, but it's nice to have the choice!
Last thing, my name is in my sig below, and also my forum name here

Cant see any gaming sigs on this PC due to surf rights at work *Bastards* so I will jot them down at home. Thanks for the note on the 'Stakes', going to sting some money from my A.I friends lol.
I have uncovered all the showrooms and now own 2 houses and 5 cars. Noble M12 GTO, Audi TT, Caterham CSR260, Ninja ZX 10-R and Ducatti 999R. Im gona work out that Xbox live thingy and get back to you all.
One last question, every now and then after missions and such I get a TDU mail envelope appears in my speedometer. What does it mean? new achievement listed maybe?
Thanks, Craig
Jeez, you don't hang around!!

The mail envelope that pops up means you have a message and you have to go to your house to read it. Go into info, news, or something like that, and you can see all of the messages. They are pretty much just confirmations of achievements so it's not a must do. You might find that every now and then a different type of message pops up though so it's worth checking back at the end of a nights play
