Yep, do that.. then go into the gps map and set the people filter to 'friends'. Then find them on the map with the d-pad and press A to join them. You won't always find them first time, but try a couple of times and you will. When you find a friend and you're on the road next to them, press left on the d-pad a few times until you see the current player list. Press up/down to highlight their name and press right on the d-pad twice to lock them (which they have to accept). Then your good to cruise!

I think that's right, if I recall correctly some of the people that I play online with are on telewest. If you have a router then you should be able to use ethernet from that to the xbox, and then run through set-up on the xbox. Think about what you want your gamertag to be too, because that will be your name to everyone that you meet, and when you meet someone with letters and numbers for a name you don't know what to call them sometimes! thumbsup

OK!! Wow what a game. Lastnight I test drove some cars won all my little races and delivered some shopping bought a Super7 and uncovered some of the island. Im currently trying to unlock the bike constructors by visiting all the car garages first. Couple of questions: Single player mode. 1) How do I win cars? or aquire them. I have had to buy cars and im doing races that are about 5k-10k. I delivered to ferrari's for 80k each. 2) I can challenge my 'bot' friends. How do I set a stake? Can we race for cars? 3) Has anyone got a list of all cars and how to go get them? I can access game sites from work.. PDF, maybe? Multiplayer (Xbox live) mode: 1) can some one who runs their xbox through a telewest surboard modem give me some pointers in how to get online please? 2) Please can you guys list your online names so that I can add you all to friends. Thanks, Craig

A few of us... have gamertag signatures so grab the names from there... ;) As for the surfboard... Just plug the ethernet cable into the X360 and reboot the surfboard... that should suffice. Moving forward, you need an ethernet router, or a cable modem/router combined to share the internet connection between x360 and PC.

I think I've only won one car outright and I can't remember how I did that, it might have been the 'island tour' race. My strategy was to do a lot of cruising first, because every time you drive past a race start point it gets added to your gps map. You should drive past lots of car delivery missions and they bring in the big money! If you do them perfectly, you'll get something like a $40,000 bonus on top of the original reward, which is nice!

To set your stake, pause the game and go into options, then game settings, then stake. I think you have to press X to tick the box and then you can adjust the stake amount. thumbsup

I haven't seen a list of all the cars, but you should have a big map in the game box with the instructions that tells you where all of the dealers are. I think checking each dealer is the best bet. That's what I did. Also, go into the marketplace once you have set-up xbox live, then games, then new releases, and search for test drive and download the free car pack (it's free!). You have to buy the cars in game, but it's nice to have the choice!

Last thing, my name is in my sig below, and also my forum name here :)

Cant see any gaming sigs on this PC due to surf rights at work *Bastards* so I will jot them down at home. Thanks for the note on the 'Stakes', going to sting some money from my A.I friends lol. I have uncovered all the showrooms and now own 2 houses and 5 cars. Noble M12 GTO, Audi TT, Caterham CSR260, Ninja ZX 10-R and Ducatti 999R. Im gona work out that Xbox live thingy and get back to you all. One last question, every now and then after missions and such I get a TDU mail envelope appears in my speedometer. What does it mean? new achievement listed maybe? Thanks, Craig

Jeez, you don't hang around!!

The mail envelope that pops up means you have a message and you have to go to your house to read it. Go into info, news, or something like that, and you can see all of the messages. They are pretty much just confirmations of achievements so it's not a must do. You might find that every now and then a different type of message pops up though so it's worth checking back at the end of a nights play

Im trying to get a decent car in each class so that I can work my way through the races etc. Only thing is you need at least 2-3 houses to do this (got 2) but now im stuck with 19k only in money. Oh well back to the delivery missions (which I love!). Which cars you guys delivered? I have done, Enzo, Fezza 288GTO (not sure about it name | SE map area | but the one with the pop up head lights abit like magnum p.i.'s thumbsup ) and the Noble M14. If I knew you got a bonus for undamamged I would have not been to trigger happy lol. Those missions are a total tease btw..... Do I have proper go of some of the fastest cars in the game or do I hand it over in perfect nick?? Foot down I say. rallly Noticed the motorbikes are really hard to turn / control at high speed (bit like really life) but have noticed that there is no reverse (I know a bike does not but you can roll it back with your body). So the select button gets a hammering when racing. Also the clothing is rubbish but then again thats not what the game is about. Cant find the MV dealership either... I have been all round the coast line and all I can say is that the game is graphically amazing! Its a must buy (anyone reading this and does not have it). Regards, Craig

I've done about 15 of the deliveries so too many to mention. I love those jobs! Personally I do give it some throttle when I get the chance but I try to be careful, all but one of my deliveries has been perfect so far! thumbsup You can make the bikes feel better by adjusting the steering sensitivity down a few clicks in the options somewhere, I think it's in game settings. I turned it down by 3 clicks which makes the cars a little heavier (which I like), and the bikes less flicky, much better thumbsup
