Ok lastnight I got on Xbox live and had a few races and a head to head against and american lad - lol. Only thing is I have to use either the PC or the Xbox at the moment as I dont have a way of splitting the net signal.
I took a guess last night and sent a 'Sixspeed' a voice message and friend request (dont know if thats you Andy?). As I said I cant see your signatures at work. My gamertag is N08LE (thats a zero and a eight) as my second name, like the great car, is Noble :) . Please will you guys do the honour of adding me.

Can I buy a router or signal splitter that conects after my modem and is itelligent enough to auto swap between or share the Telewest BB line?

Update on my gaming:

Done a lot of races now and have 2 houses (cant find where they sell MV Agusta yet). I have about 300k and these vehicles.

G - AC 289 (1964)
F - Audi TT
E - Nismo 350Z
D - no car (thinking about Audi RS4 once I know how to download it)
C - no car (thinking about Lambo Spyder)
B - Caterham 260 - Stage 3, Noble M12 GTO
A - Kwacky ZX 10-R - Stage 3 (sold the Ducatti)

God I love this game and to top it all off its my Birthday today YEAH!!!

Thanks,
Craig

Ooh happy birthday! chinky chinky Check the big paper map in your game box for MV Agusta, I think it's in the town at the very north point of the map. You can pick up a modem/router combination that will split the line 2 or more ways. My belkin wireless has 4 outputs and I think that was £50ish. Although I don't know the details of the telewest set-up so I'm not too sure on what will work for you.. My update is that I'll be reaching champion level tonite.. woohoo! Take that, social life! :P Picked up a Lotus Elise R last night, lovely little motor. Also picked up a Farboud and a corvette stingray. I've got 20 cars now and 3 bikes, I can't remember them all but the car with the highest mileage for me is Mercedes SL65 AMG, great for cruising B)

Nice garage :D 'sixspeed' is my old account. It's now defunct. Apparently after you stop using an account for 6 months they send it into a blackhole and it can't ever be resurrected, or the name re-used. 'Andy Sixspeed' is my new tag - i'll add you when I'm next on. How's the Caterham? I test drove it and found it wicked fun to drive, but ended up going for the 240R Exige.. though I might get the Caterham in a while. I think my garages now consist of: Audi RS4 Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder Lamborghini Muira Nismo Nissan 350Z (Stage 3) Lotus Exige 240R (Stage 3) Noble M14 TVR Sagaris Jaguar E-Type Pagani Zonda C12S Ferrari F430 Ducati 999R I think the McClaren is next on the list to save for. Though I really fancy the old Shelby Daytona Coupe as well.. -andy-

Better than the Lotus imho :D although I only test drove the Loti as standard. The most addicative thing so far is my Kwacky ZX 10-R (stg3) sooo fast. I went into a Diner lastnight and paid 1k to try a race that said I could win 450k if I beat the time. Time set was set at 1m07s on a bike. I could not get ANYWHERE near that lol. I also went to a car club but it asked for friends names and said I had none :(

Just need that RS4 for group D (how do I download it?) and also get added to the club and hopefully your friends lists if you guys dont mind. Off out tonight and tomorrow but will be on as much as I can here and there.

Great stuff,
Craig

Tango I tried to join you the other night but I think im doing something wrong. When I zoom out and filter to friends online. I see my friends then I get the nearest road to them only to find out they are not there. Is this because they are going fast and actually not there or or they in a race or something? Is there a way I can contact them and tell them to wait while I join? Sorry for all the questions. Also while I was lost in map mode these two fuckers constantly kept smashing me of my bike and swearing calling me names which was coming out of my TV speaker and lets just say it did not impress my mum whole was in the room at the time. Can I mute the voice recon? Has anyone came accross the american that constantly give you sh*t? Really annoying voice calling me all sorts like "get a proper name". FFS im called Craig Noble there for my name is N08le in game. Bloody americans!

I'm pretty new to this xbox stuff too but I have found that it can take a few attmepts before you actually end up near your friend and on the same server.

Is this because they are going fast and actually not there or or they in a race or something?

I guess so...if I'm on my MV Agusta on a straight road then I'm doing 190+mph :D

Is there a way I can contact them and tell them to wait while I join?

If you press the centre button on the controller you can then send messages to friends.

That's sometimes the problem, you could try landing a bit further down the road but it's better to just send a message or a voice chat request (all done through the guide). If a name says (N/A) next to it on your gps screen they are in a race or doing a mission of some sort.

As for little punks.. You could mute them, but it would be a waste of time really because they would probably be gone by the time you come out of the options. You could warp elsewhere because if they are not on your friends list they won't be able to follow you. Best bet is to go into the guide and find their names on the player list (hit right while looking at your friends list) and then select them and it gives you the option to rate them, although I'm not sure of the exact wording. If you select 'avoid this player', you should in theory not come across them again. Try it out! thumbsup

You can also change where the speech comes from by going into the guide and then into personal settings. From there, choose 'voice' and you'll be presented with a few options. When you set one, it should stay that way. That's all from memory by the way, so it might not be spot on!

Tif,

By 'Guide' you mean the Xbox button and those windows there after? Also I going to attempt 'Le grande tour de Island' tonight! Wish me luck lol - has anyone else done it yet?

Car update (£750k money now too), AC289, TT, Mustang Coupe, AM Vantage, Lambo Spyder, Caterham, Noble M12, No group A car as yet but im think Enzo / Kroenig / Mc F1. Im at expert level also which tbh does not take much getting too. And I still have my Ninja 10R.

I'll be doing this tonight too on my trusty MV Agusta :D

I've already done the millionaires challenge which looks a similar sort of route (starts and finishes on the west coast)

I'm at "Expert" and have 4 houses, 10 cars (including 3 Astons B)) and 2 bikes (MV Agusta + Stage 3 & Ninja + Stage 3) but no group A yet. I'm probably going for a Saleen as it's supposed to be pretty good.

Cool we can exchange great stories of the island tomorrow lol :P Im taking my Ninja (3+) 10R to the race. Saleens catch me on the straights but have no chance round corners. Looking at the route I should find it hard on the motorways but find it getting better up the east coast. I must check out the millionaires race. What did you use for that? MV?

MV (+3)

Target times are something like 60'00" for gold, 62'00" for silver and 65'00" for bronze. I crashed quite frequently, was pulled over by the police on at least 3 seperate occasions, even took a wrong turn at one point

I got gold by 20 seconds  :D

I've created a club for us all :D

vx220.org.uk (VX220 Owners Club) at the Diamond Head Club.

The Diamond Head club is located on the southwest corner of the island near the "Crater", just outside Honolulu.

It costs £350,000 Posted Image to join...don't blame me, you can't change the joining cost :(

Once everyone has joined we can have some intra-club and inter-club competitions which will go toward your game score thumbsup

$350,000 bloody hell do you want my eyeballs as well? lol :P I'll join but need to buy a Group A car then get a bit more cash. Should take me 2 nights maximum.

I did not manage to do the race last night as I got home late. I did lool for the millionaire race but could not find it. Maybe I need to uncover it. I have noticed that some just appear while others need to be spotted. I might have this wrong but thats what it seems like.

Anyone do 'King of the Hairpins'? That is a great time attack from the middle of the map down through a mountainous pass to the village below. Take a bike or a Caterham and you will be impressed.

Which group A car???

The millionaires races is about a quarter of the way down the west edge, just in from the coast road. I think it appears when you reach "Expert" level.

For those who reach "Champion", there is a very easy way to make money. Find the "180mph in heavy traffic" speed challenge somewhere in the mountains in the northwest of the island. Get yourself a nice fast group A car (I have a Saleen + mod3), start the challenge, immediately turn round, set off and move to the left hard shoulder. 10 seconds later you will have hit 180mph, thank you very much I'll have £70,000. Repeat as needed :D

I currently have 15 houses, 2 bikes & 27 cars B)

To all: Don't forget to join my club at Diamond Head (southwest corner of the island) so we can do inter-club and intra-club races

It'll cost you £350,000 to create a club so it's just as cheap/expensive to join one that has already been created.

Are you ever off the game? - hehe. I did the millionaire time trial lastnight (*coughs*, this morning 2am+) What a hell of a race! Took my Ninja 10R (+3) and did it in 55m47s. The only thing is, and I blame high speeds and slow GPS, but I went on the wrong on the motorways in two section causing at least 5mins delay (SE corner of the map). To fast to take in any of the island lol.

Got a Saleen (+3) as my group A car lastnight but since when did the road under those rear wheel freeze over like swan lake? Even the cpu cars are skidding all over, although, *insert not amused voice* 'Walter' does not seem to have a problem. I must learn this car.

Bought a new house but to keep the cost down, yes im a tight git, I did an exchange for my first house. Now im know as the millionaire hermit that lives up in them there mountains!
