are you aware this is like talking to a brick wall? Are you reading what I am saying? If you just said how much you were willing to spend in numbers then none of this arguement would be here! This is my last try btw

This is the actual deprecitation from sales through trade recorded on the VX. i.e the real world not vx wannabe land!

Read where they got the info from "ACTUAL CAR SALES"

Joking aside, can you show me where it says that, I can't find any mention of that on the site.

I feel a hole load more rubbish coming

You're planning on sticking around then?

[OMG it's a picture of someone driving an Atom. Proof if ever there were!

Certainly not a picture you'd see on the first page of google images if you did a search for ariel atom.

And there was me thinking this was robins from the atomclub board...

Ben

  How Funny is that!! Did the search, first picture! Maybe someone should post a link on that Forum to this page. Think they'd find that highly amusing.

By the way, from someone who is still in the trade, there are some cars that you do throw the Glasses guide out of the window when pricing and the VX is one of them. Z4 Coupes are currently selling for more than new as used cars because of the waiting list on them. These cars don't book at the moment but the guide at the front of the glasses says you should take off the VAT from the original price of any nearly new car to get a reflection of price (a ridicules thing to say anyhow). Guides are just that. Cars are worth what people will pay for them. As has been said before, its called Supply and Demand.

And you keep saying it's not a Lotus and doesn't hold it's money like one. Well for a K series engined Lotus the book price is more than a VX220 yet it will not fetch as much as it has a Shite engine.

And Letchworth There will always be Certain cases where people will accept less than their car is worth for say maybe a quick sale due to moving abroad etc. That does not mean that this is what these cars are actually worth but simply a case of somebody selling one of their possessions at a very reasonable price because it suits them. Coming into their house (or forum) and insulting them would tend to cause a reaction.

In this case I believe it's a reaction that means you will not get this a VX.

P.S If you already have one maybe you could show us a picture (although it may be an idea to search a bit deeper this time through the internet to find one to pass off as your own).(and not on VX220.ORG.UK)(or typewatever.wherever)

Good stuff Dean, but I think the clue may be in your sentence, "In this case I believe it's a reaction that means you will not get this a VX.

I would suggest what he really wants from members is a reaction not a VX, therefore he has got one here !!

:D

This gentleman/boy sounds exactly like the chavs that congregate in the Burger King car park in the "Real" Letchworth... Blowhole exhaust Novas, Orions with improbable "custom aerodynamics"... He's just jealous (and running a quad exhaust hairdryer). I got mine from a forum member in September and the decision to buy was helped by the fella making me wait so the car could warm up properly before the demonstration!

And no, I don't know the guide price either - but my brother has a nice unmolested XR3i for sale begging for your attention! (Less than book price too...)

Does anyone rememeber JaseyBoy? He had a very similar attitude and ended up getting a "corking" deal on his car...........oh no hold on he TOLD us he got a great deal and then forgot which lies he had told and when he came to sell it advertised it at a profit. :P THis thread reminds me of when i came to buy my own car (in winter) and i was lucky enough to get the car at "book price" or less becuase PABLO needed to get rid of it quickly. How did i get such a great bargain? Simple I was plesant, offered to move mountains to accomodate Pablo and acted like the grateful excited car enthusiast that i am. I also didn't brag abiout the great deal i had as i was genuinely scared somone would go "fcuk me that's cheap" and gazump me. Now we all know he's bullsh*tting and is just a troll (although not as funny as Elmo) but there are a few things no-one has commented on so far. 1. Book price for a 2000 car is £3,400 less than a 2002 car. This seems like a big variation in budget for someone who is obviously so price sensitive 2. He's married. Single men of the world rejoice, there truely is someone for everyone :D Oh and lets go through the troll checklist; New user - check Bad grammer - check Bad spelling - check Agressive attitude - check Homophobic - check Bragging about how sucessful / rich he is - check Completely unrealistic "collection" of cars - check Male - check (why don't we get lady trolls) Anyway, we should probably stop feeding him soon  :sleepy:

70k for the below car but i am not putting in the stereo

Oi, tosspot!

I would not sell you my car if you were the last buyer on earth. You're obviously no old enough to drive for starters, but other than that I'm sure you would spank yourself into a tree in next to no time! :beat: Hmm, that gets me thinking folks, lets have a whip around, buy the prick (FAO Tango, surely justified bypass of the swear filter due to this little boy's attitude?) a £5k cat A VX (book price of course.) so he can do us all a favour and do himself in! :D Ill put £100 towards it. thumbsup

Can you not see how much of a tit you're making of yourself? Just fcuk off, join Type116.anal and go entertain yourself over there. Use lots of sarcastic comments, ask for handshandy and you will fit in just fine. thumbsup

As for my car being £12k (not £12.5k as you suggested.), I will set you the challenge of finding a cleaner (used) VX220. If you find one, with proof (and it's not in jamesgray's garage. ), then you can have my car for £8k. Deal?

Now go forth and multiply young man! thumbsup

Oooh, that was a bit of a rant :D Don't you all love it when a really dim troll comes along? :D and we all feed him for our own peverse amusement.

dodgy taste in clothes, there's no way he should be allowed to own a vx....
