Tjena Dude! MVH Anders W

got a question in swedish about seats and i´m answering this in swedish.
hope it doesn´t matter.

Hi Jim, Dictonary.com's translator doesn't do S"wedish to English", but if you paste it in and do "Dutch to Simplified Chinese" and translate the result with "Hindu to English" then you can get a reasonable understanding. It's a great column Dude by the way. I can't contribute unhappily other than to paste crap like this and get in the way of a brilliant story. I'm glad the front clam's ok. The colour (blue and grey primer, with a touch of filler) matches perfectly! Please keep the posts up. Steve

Dude, do the AP racing 5000pro calipers bolt straight on to the hub carrier without any modification?

the caliper fits right on the upright and is matches the 288mm disc great ( it should have been 290mm to make it perfect).
i have to make a 15mm alloyspacers and put it between the hub and disc, but thats all :D
the calipers costs 206£ + VAT a piece at demon-tweeks, but i´m sure thats not the cheapest place to go.
i bought mine at a local speedshop here in sweden and paid 380€ a piece + VAT.

15mm spacer all that you require thats not bad for AP upgrade! do you recon the braking will be improved much with this mod?

the padarea is increased and i got a pair of pistons more.
i don´t think that i got any "more" brakes , but they will last longer and do better in highspeed-braking >220 km/h (take more heat before fading).
better feeling is another gain and i have taken out the servo and replaced it with a balancebar, but the abs will stay.

here is the modified rear. exhaust outlet is gone and the "rearwindow" has been moved backwards and stands in front of the heatoutlets in the bonnet.

Hi Anders, Seeing your changes to the rear window, I was wondering if it would be worthwhile to smooth the airflow over the top and down the back, by using the "venician slats" idea that the Lightning diesel superVX uses?

it was one idea with a "fastback"-design, but the speedster is so short behind the rearwheels, that the lift would be far to big in proportion to the drag. it would need a huge wing in the back. we went for this design instead and hopefully we won´t need a wing and only go for groundeffect without wings. i really like the eco-design. it is a little like the porsche gt1 longtail. //anders

15mm is each side = 30mm.

For a car like the VX thats too much (IMO of course)
