Sounds like you need to get that looked at. The Nas doors do not lock by themselves... need the key.

I've only ever seen this happen on the passenger side - e.g. door locked, I get in driver's side, open door with internal handle, GF gets in, then GF gets out using internal handle and shuts door - door still locked (key slot facing vertical).

How do you lock (keyslot vertical?) the driver's door if you've just got into the car? Or lock it if the keys are still in the car? I'm confused.

God bless central locking I say

Get in, lock car via rocker switch on steering column
Can't get out unless you unlock via the steering column so no problem if door shuts thumbsup

Best £430 I ever spent

Stoat - I'm interested - is this retro-fittable to a standard VXT, are they standard Vaux / Lotus parts, does your price include fitting/labour and lastly, does the central locking add much weight? I saw Rob W's car last weekend and he had plipper-activated central locking; it's a little luxury I'd appreciate being able to add to mine.

hmm. not sure if its retro-fittable, could ask thorney i guess. It was a optional extra when first buying the car. (saves having to mess about in the winter when your locks freeze as well)
