Im gonna have a quick look myself but will prob take it to national tyres in Burton on Trent. They said theyll do it for £60!! :D

Ive used them before for tyres, brake discs/pads and theyre a decent bunch. They've worked on a vx and elises before so it should go all ok.

That is a fantastic price and I'm only in Ripley myself, Archie Moss in Coleville said that they would fit it for £133 including VAT, but I'm going to TMS and getting a full Dyno after so that I can see what power gains it gives....let you know on the 30th.

By the way, whose exhaust was it and how does it sound? Are you happy?
Cheers Nathan

im well happy with it,shame i could only afford bak box at the mo but gettin stage 1 remap nxt wk aswell, but the sound is good, very underwhelming at low revs but when u put your foot down its got a really nice sound to it - much prefer it to the others available but its a very personal thing-I soo didnt want the boy racer sound of just 1 octave of sound regarless of acceleration/speed etc I use the car everyday and do some motorway drving aswell.

Hi Dobin, is that your yellow in the pics that Dave at Larini sent me?
So you are happy then because that was one of my concerns that I would sound like a chav with a 4" exhaust on a corsa!!!

If it all goes to plan I will have mine fitted on the 30th at TMS, as well as a couple of other bits and bobs.
Cheers Nathan.

Wrightster took me out in his n/a at last nights NW meet and i can confirm the larini sounds awsome! Just enough burbble without being to intrusive for everyday driving, thats is until you actually want to give it some welly and it then comes on song and sounds how the vx should have always sounded. Big thumbs up from me thumbsup Marcus

Didnt sound at all chavvy to be honest, it makes the car sound like it looks if that makes sense?

Spoke to dave again today. He said the backboxes are starting to be shipped out today. The cat and pre-cat pipes are being polished and the full system should be shipped in 2-3 days time thumbsup

Mine has just arrived :D Big TNT lorry just delivered it. I have unpacked it and taken a few pictures and now wrapped it back up and put it back into the box ready for it to be fitted on saturday along with new engine mounts all with the help of (i'll be mostly watching/making tea) Slindborg.

One thing that has puzzled me and my VERY limited knowledge is that the flange on the pipes doesnt seem fit over any of the other pipes, or atleast doesn't "slot" over them, it might do with some force though. Is this normal?

Here are the pictures, excuse the mess and the cat (the furry one :P )

mine arrived yesterday - feels like a quality bit of kit and looks fantastic! I also don't understand how it fits together though - I can see the ends have slots cut to allow the ends to expand over another pipe but still doesn't make sense. Like the photo's I have the same number of bits so I guess it is correct. I'm no expert and won't be fitting it myself, but are there additional gaskets/wadding used to make the interfaces? Cheers! Russ

You'll need to get hold of some clamps to hold those joints together. In the photos Larini sent of the one of the yellow turbo it has clamps on the joints either side of the backbox, which aren't included. You'd probably get away without them, but may be better to be on the safe side to stop the box rotating or something.

You'll also need to buy all the bolts etc., as they're not included either! :beat:

My new Backbox turned up yesterday.

I've got new nuts & bolts to replace the three that are likely to be rusted up and decided on a new gasket too (despite there not being one as standard). For those that have already fitted their's - is there anything else I'm going to need? I'm just replacing the Backbox (on an NA).

can any one please confirm to me what size bolts are required???

They're M8 x 30mm. VX PNs are 9198094 for the bolt (75p each) and 93183500 for the nut (68p each). Not sure if they've been 'upgraded' to stainless though. With regard to how many you'll need - I think it's six but it's worth checking the Parts Catalogue in the 'Sticky Threads' section.
