Getting it fitted by a local garage here in Belfast. The mechanic was a Lotus guy until they closed the dealership here. Phil

I don't think the mechanic is going to thank me for keeping him an extra hour and half after closing time because of the rusted bolts on the old exhaust. But I'm pleased to say I now have a burbling Larini (and no pre-cat). First impressions are that it's well noisy, but in a good way. And if it gets noisier over the next few weeks my neighbours might get worried. And the burbles are just fantastic. Must go now, I have a car waiting impatiently to be driven. Phil

Why dont you get a deal going as I am sure you can sort yourself out.
Looks like you need to drum up numbers though to achieve critical mass.

Did you/are you getting it done before they replace it to get a same day comparison?

No, the last dyno i had done was dec 1st, its only for me as a rough idea of what power gains there are.

The results were a 29BHP increase and one hell of an increase in the sound of the car, in my opinion, this is how the car should have always sounded. Cheers Nathan

Nathan - I assume your VXR had a milltek with standard catalysts? (All the VXR's do don't they :) )

Milltek's were optional on the VXR - I assume it was just the standard VXT exhaust before?

Unless the Larini has a 29BHP increase over the Milltek (Joking BTW!)

I had an exhaust on the VXR that said "manufactured by CLF Tech", whoever they are, so replaced with a full Larini, the TMS guys that installed it were very complimentary about the build quality (better than the Milltek) apparently, and it is all highly polished so it looked coooool. Difference is so amazing that the sound is just how the car should sound, A1 exhaust and highly recommended to anybody who fancies something different like me, and it took TMS 3 hours the same as fitting a Miltek, so at least Thorney now knows how laong to book the Larini exhaust fit in for. Also a big thank you to TMS and John, because, as everyone knows his development with the Miltek is legendary for our cars, and yet he was more than willing to fit the Larini. The power gains are not as great as the are with the Miltek (only to be expected, as they have taken years to hone this exhaust) but the sound of the Larini is just something else, will post something on you tube as soon as I get time (probably next weekend now). Anyway, enough of me waffling on. Cheers Nathan (one happy camper)
