I'm not really understanding the price structure.

from the website:
Sports BB for Na is £452
a 20% discount would make it £360ish.

If anyone can confirm the above, then i'll take part but uping the price to provide a discount is :beat:

The £452 on the website is ex-VAT. Adding VAT at 17.5% and then subtracting the group discount at 20% brings you back down to £440.

Phil

ah thank you for that.

expensive aren't they...

It doesn't seem to expensive to me. They are about the same as the Miltek but make the sound of the VSE according to wrightster. I've not heard of anyone being particularly pleased with the sound from the Miltek, but correct me if I am wrong :)

To summarise, for the people that are new to this thread, this is a group buy for Larini exhausts for NAs and Turbos. There are clips on YouTube if you want to hear the exhaust note (sounds fantastic imho). Unfortunately these offers are only available in the UK. For 20% discount the group buy needs 15 or more people. 5-14 people is only 15% discount. The 20% discount prices are: Back box - NA or Turbo - £440 delivered. De-cat primary downpipe - Turbo only - £159 delivered. De-cat secondary section - Turbo only - £TBC De-cat pipe - NA only - £TBC Sports cat - Turbo only - £522 delivered. Sports cat - NA only - £TBC Full system - Turbo only - £1092 delivered. And the list so far is: 1. Nathan (blue VXR) full sports system. 2. Mike (Mike_VX) VXT back box for the moment 3. Corsa Kid Back Box 4. Phil (bigp2) NA Back Box 5. AntonG NA Back Box as haven't seen price for full system

I am VERY tempted, and will probably go ahead with this. Just need to make a few calls.

Anyone think of getting this look

HERE for a video clip of a VXT with Larini exhaust

and HERE for a video clip of an NA VX220 with the Larini exhaust

I have exchanged a couple of PMs about the exhaust with Wrightster and he says

yes i've heard the VSE it sounds similar in terms of popping and burbling possibly slightly quieter but only slightly and a bit less tinny than the VSE, it sounds about 10 times better than a milltek IMO

Paul :D

This is on the NA. Hope that makes it easier for anyone else considering this group buy :)

Not to mention the fact that Larini do exhausts for all sorts of exotica, just have a look on youtube and search for Larini to find some clips of other cars with Larini exhausts thumbsup

Well I'd be happy for you guys all to order within our group buy, get them delivered to me, then I'll just ship them straight over to you guys, unopened, if you send me the postage money

Surely that would work, and you guys can nicely boost the group buy numbers :)

chinky chinky

Having had a quick look it seems that to send them on to you in France would be between £30 and £100 depending on delivery speed etc. (although it's all a bit confusing so I may be wrong!)

that was all said on a PM and everybodys opinion is different, i like the VSE sound just wasnt prepared to pay £512 for a mild steel exhaust, and i'm sure the Miltek is great it was just a bit quiet for me :D

very happy with my Larini the sound isperfect for me, sports cat going on soon :D

Hi Just a quick one, and please forgive my ignorance, (Only had the VXT for a few months). On fitting the replacement back box, does the original heat sheild material that is on the standard exhaust need to be re-fitted to any after amrket exhaust? If not, why. Cheers OUIJA

Was very keen to add my name to this list but having just checked with my insurers 'More Than', they made it clear that they would no longer cover the car if I fitted it! Will rename them 'Less Than'!! :(

Wrightster will you be at any of the nortwest meets in the near future? wiggin tree, phantom winger, watermillock etc? Would like to hear it in the flesh if you are.
Cheers

I dont know I am afraid, I'm sure someone will tell you soon.

Also, Blue VXR, can we go ahead with this now we have over 15 people :groupjump:

One last thing, how much should i expect to be charged for fitting it? and where would people recommend? Or is it a possible DIY job?

Thanks :)
