Hi Tim,
I thins siztenboots was planning for us to meet somewhere around A3/M25, I don't know the area too well, so don't know where would be a good place. Maybe there's a motorway service station on the M25 just past where the A3 joins. I'll look into it nearer the time and suggest timings for meets at a couple of places along the way maybe.

What do we all think (Colgy/Birty/siztenboots/TangoAlpha, anyone else gonne join us along the way?)

Sounds like a plan to me - we are going to have to leave stupidly early though.

Thorny did say he would be putting tickets up for sale in the forum shop in his original post, but i cant see them. Has anyone got theirs yet?

siztenboots mentioned that SELOC are selling tickets, I think I may give Thorney a ring sometime to see if he know's anything. Birty, as we're gonna be stopping a couple of times to meet people on the way, I was thinking that we'd need to leave Wickham Square at around 5.45am, what do you think, it takes 1 1/2 - two hours to get to Brands without stops normally.

As hideous as that sounds, thats probably about right. On the bright side there wont be much traffic at that time in the morning

There is a layby there on the North side carriageway , or there is the RHS Wisley carpark

Yeah, that looks good to me Steve, I recommend we leave that layby by 7.15am. Shall we start a thread with the meeting points and times in the meets and events section?

for those travelling south on A12 from Chelmsford and further North, SELOC have a mtg point at Boreham services (think just North of Chelmsford) meeting at 0745 - VXs welcome

even though i don't even have my VX yet i'd like to come along, never been to a race meet etc before! would i be able to come along with anyone? i'm just off junction 8 on the m25, think there is a few people around my area! Jay

Jay, are you anywhere near the layby where a bunch of us are planning to meet? Check the meets and events thread that started, it has details of the aforementioned layby and who's gonna be meeting where along the way. Ash
