Does anybody know of a good steering lock. I bought a small Full steering wheel stoplock from Halfords it said it fitted the vx220 but when I measured up the steering wheel is 33cm Diameter and the lock only goes as small as 35cm.
£80 down the drain

Hi Matt - not sure on replacement, but if it doesn't do what it says on the tin why do you see it is £80 wasted? Just take it back and get yer 'ackers back!!!

Bloke i bought my old VX off said he couldnt find one so get cut a section out and welded it back together. Fits a treat now. Its one of the ones that goes over the gear shift and the hand brake.

I've got a 4tress lock from Halfords. It is a bar type that sits in front of the wheel with two arms that pass either side of one of the spokes and meet a bar behind the wheel. I don't know if that makes sense but it seems fairly sturdy.

I also got the 4tress lock from Halfords. It was the only lock they sold that would fit the car. (I was buying the locks, taking them into the car park, testing to see if they would fit and them taking them back for refunds.
) It fits perfectly. You can engage the steering wheel lock and the 4tress steering lock fits over the steering wheel and the end rests on the plastic sill inside the door. It's like it was made to measure.

Hi Matt I use a Stoplock, size small, from Halfords. Workds fine. Its supposed to sit loose and spin around the wheel. £80. Its also silver so matches my car. After i bought it a local cop told me their prevention officer sells them £45 subsidised! So call your local CPOfficer and see if they do too.Ian
