I've been in touch with a few wheel suppliers myself to see if anything is available in the 5 stud pattern. Compomotive have confirmed their MO Motorsport wheel can be supplied in the correct size and offset.... 7J x 16" front and 7.5J x 17" rears (see details below). ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The lightweight one piece wheels we offer do not come in 16" diameter so we would only be able to offer this combination in our Motorsort MO wheels The weight of these wheels would be 8.25kg for the 16"diameter and 10.8 kg for the 17" version. No issue with 5 stud The 7x16 is available in offsets from ET15~50 ( using 2 castings) Cost wise you would be looking to pay £147.00 on 16" and £167.00 on the 7.5" ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The MO is a 5 spoke style, similar to the Elise Sport 160 wheel. Subject to measuring the brake caliper clearance to confirm they'll fit, and choosing a suitable offset for the fronts - somewhere between standard ET26 and ET36, depending on clearance inside the wheel arch - I think I'll try a set for next year. Email sales@comp.co.uk if you're interested. Gary

Nice. B) I like 5 spokes better than the multispoke options. The weight bothers me though. Does anyone know the weight of the standard wheels (minus tyres)?

My car has wheels, and you can buy it from just £17k. Click here for more details.

as a reference, OZ superleggera's are s 6.2 kg for the 7x16 and 7.4 kg for the 8x17

I had those wheels fitted on one car in 17" size. They were very heavy, but very stong too. I think they are more of a rally type wheel :rally: , as the finish is quite basic. I had them in black. Would not fit that type of wheel in my future VX220, but that is just IMO.

Yep, they are a motorsport wheel, so mainly supplied in matt colours. I'm looking for wheels for track use, so not too bothered what they look like. As long as they are strong and allow me to fit wider fronts. I've never had a problem with the finish of Compomotive wheels in the past though.

Perhaps not worth considering, if you are looking for wheels for mainly road use.

Fraid not, offsets are too big on the back.

This sounds like a good option. The price is certainly right. Are you sure they will fit? Does anyone knowthe weight of standard wheels? If these are no heavier then I will deffo order some this week. If they are heavier maybe could machine a bit of metal off to lighten them. MO's are forest stage rally wheels so v. strong. They may take a little diet no probs. Any engineers out there to tell me if I am talking out of my arse?

Ricky - what exactly is your track set-up? Did you mean the OZ superleggeras? Do they bolt straight on? I would be very grateful indeed if you could let me know. I am doing Cadwell Sat 29th November and want some wheels and tyres before then if possible. I have the dosh - I just dont know which wheels fit

check ths out...

http://www.vx220.org...hl=superleggera

I went for the superleggera's since they are the lightest on the market, are very competitively priced, look darn good are strong as hell.
only prob is that are not available in the 5x110 bolt fashion, so I agreed to use the 5x112 size (mercedes) using "wobbly" bolts, aka bolts with an added washer that makes up for the 2mm difference.
so far I did thousands of hard-track miles without any problems, but Thorney is adamant to warn anybody what tyre "experts" told him, that is....such washers could lead to potentially "hazardous situations".
so it's your call really.

sure enough, best bet is, money no option, to adopt the 4-bolt astra hubs (along with new discs...) that would put you in the position of choosing a big variety of rim-shapes and sizes...

sorry mate, mis read the post....the Oz Lotus super T's don't fit, the super leggeras that you have do fit (via wobbly bolts). I'm surprised 35's on the front fit though, the Speedlines I'm running are 35's on the front and it rubs on full lock (which is why they're sorting some with 26 offset (as standard).

Ricky - Thanks for that mate. Sounds like a plan to me. I couldnt get anything up on my computer on the address you posted so I am still unsure what to order. Can you help? Also, do they rub on full lock as Thorney suggests? Do you have a phone number so I could have a chat about these details? I'm not coming on to you or anything. I needs those wheels!

my specs: OZ superleggera, available in silver and dark silver (my pick) front 7x16 35ET, 5x112 bolt pattern rear 8x17, same as above. a set of 4 Vaux. hub adapters and 20 special bolts+washer are needed. with the Spax, (25mm lowered car) it rubs the front inner plastic arch VERY lightly, only when FORCING a full-lock, but it stops just from easing it off. ... it never rubs while hammering at the track. afaik, no rubbing from the rears. iirc, Minime had an address of a company selling OZ's at 600 or so... PM's me if anything else is needed...I live in Italy.
