Looks good.. But could they detail the full solution for the rears? That is, what is needed and where you can get it?

well time is running out.... :( ..... I seem to have hit a dead end with this one, i thought they were a good idea  i'v spoken to gary regarding the hand brake cables and he said that he could sort some thing out given a little time and interest, however he has not had the interest..... ah well, maybe some one will come up with an other big brake conversion group buy in the near future that i can hop on to. :beat: in the mean while, if there is any one else interested please let me know and i will see if he will do some sort of discount for a smaller order. :poke: liam

Liam, I'm interested in the Hi spec lightweight calipers at the back (with handbrake). Already use AP's 4-pot big brakes at the front (VXR Speedlines 16") and would like to use bigger cylinders at the back to compensate. A minus 3kg per wheel is a second reason to be interested. :jump: Has anyone ever succeeded in using the Hispec Ultralite 2 at the back?

Surely on an N/A pagids are good enough for anything! Following braided hoses and new fluid I have total confidence in them once they are upto temp :)

Quite a few of the LotRDC are running these. But, there have been problems with the handbrake locking on and binding. Still not convinced that apart from weight savings, there is any benefit to change the rear brake setup.

I agree an NA with Pagids should be ok but with the S/c
setup already and looking to go to 300bhp I think I need some extra stopping power :D

The rears I think would just go Pagids.

sorry, there was no interest....

i bought new standard mintex disk's, braided hose and rs14's all round.

i'm running a stage 1 turbo with the pre-cat removed and there is plenty of stopping power. i think that the R888 help a little too :P

liam

you could always contact the guy your self and arrange an other group buy, he was very helpful.

regards liam

yep, i had an fantastic day round llandow 2 weekends ago. the brakes and R888's filled me with confidence. my car was running, handleing and braking SWEET. there is a straight where you v-max at approx 115mph into a tight left that you take at approx 30 mph. i was out braking many other cars on the circuit with no fade or judder.

i can confirm that braded hose, rs14's and standard mintex disks are awsome. :D

plain mintex disks from auto vaux 01924376003

goodridge braided hose - you can buy from any where @ approx the same price.

rs14's from per formance braking 01600713117

i forgot to mention that i up graded the fluid too, it also came from performance braking it was there own stuff, just ask about what fluids they have and tell them what the application is and they will advise accordinly. :D

I've made some inquiries at BigBrakes4U after the group buy had finished, ordered and paid a small penalty on top of the prices quoted. No problem.

I will install the brakes next monday :jump:
