Same it's all fitted, what a sound, best mod so far. I would say to anyone fitting it themself to get a mate to hold some of the parts while bolting it on. Can be tricky on your own. Mine is on but one thing I noticed when fitting was that my old brakets were bent I thought nothing of it being a hand built car. So rather than messing about bending the new one the same I used the old ones. Anyway just browsing Larini website for price for cat section, and I noticed the brakets in the picture are on opsite sides, ie left on right vice-virsa, hence why the old brakets were bent. Some one put them on the wrong side last time. So tomorrows job is to go fit the new ones on the right sides. So boys and girls, thats a little tip for you all to check when it arrives that the bracket are bolted to the correct side, they may be on the wrong side when they arrive. I stupidly assumed they were on the right sides, even though they were only on loose.

I used new bolts, went and bought M10x50 and M8x50, you will need to use the M8 ones if you are using the OEM cat. I think really M8x40 would be fine though mine were a bit long. If you use the larini sport cat I am pretty sure you could use M10 as they fit in the holes on the flange. I did use a gasket, the same one as the precat on the VXT (the part number on the bag is 1#13101735). I used stainless bolts, washers and nuts as I will be getting a sport cat at some stage and didn't want to chisel off the old one again like I had to do with the OEM exhaust. As for the bracket they were on the wrong sides, the tailpipe sit in the bumper gap much better now. The offset on the bracket was about 1" so by swapping sides it made an overall difference of about 2" (so check your bracket agains't the picture on larini website. They have them on the right way in the picture on the website. It will save you alot of hassle :) Oh I think I have mentioned it already, sound lovely mmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Yep, you will need, (the length are what I have used but the 50mm ones could do with being shorter 40mm would do). 2x Gaskets 3x M8x35 for precat-to-cat 3x M8x50 for the cat-to-back box (M10 are tight to get through the gasket but will go through the bolt holes on larini) I haven't used gumgum doesn't seem to be leaking anywhere, and once it cokes up a bit that should seal any small leaks i hope. The pre cat has a v band clamp to hold it onto the turbo which I have reused with no problems. There is a gasket in there not sure what the number is for that. Vauxhall at kidlington had parts next day for me and the part guy there seem pretty switched on. I will find the invoice out later and find out what exactly length they gave me. You will need torx sockets to get the heat shield from around the pre cat area.

It will be worth the wait when you hear it, you will love it. I have edited the one above with what you need, and you will need nuts and washers. I used spring washers as well so the nuts don't vibrate loose. I'm sure they are not needed though

Did you use a gasket between the turbo/precat pipe a ive heard some have them and others dont, Ive got a Magnex precat pipe that Im going to fit when I do the backbox and dont know if I sould get te gasket or not. Fitting th precat pipe isnt any real trouble then it would seem, I didthe backbox on my old NA so Im prepared for that but wasnt looking forward to the precat bit. hopefully the backbox will be this week as Im off on holiday on Saturday. Darren...

Well i had a plan that i could buy them for £470 deliv. then sell them on at a silly price of about £700 and make a stonkin profit.
So thanks for the idea Paul thumbsup
