Interested in one of these.. the video show they have a lovely sound at idle and acceleration ...but how loud are they at cruising speeds / motorway?... can't be doing with a deafening drone... ...and is this group buy now closed or will there be a third one?

When i went out in pauls we didnt go on any motorways but we did go onto a 50mph dual carridge way. It didnt sound droney at all to be honest. It only tends to become really loud once your giving it beans from what i experienced anyway. Maybe a current larini owner will know better and comment.
The group buy finished on the 20th for this one. But as you rightly say there is scope with the people left on the list for another group buy some time in july i think it was that people wanted to leave it till.
Hope this helps thumbsup

To be honest at the normal cruising speeds 70 mph on motorways only!!! (or whatever your normal cruising speed is :tumble:) the car is, if anything, quieter than it was previously. Just a deep growl. That is until you push the fast pedal and then the exhaust just comes alive with the ferocious deep ressonance that increases in tone the higher the revs get.
Cheers Nathan

This must be slightly worrying for you guys, but they seem like a professional outfit to me and I would doubt they are out to rip anyone off. OK so their customer service skills aren't great but when dealing with 99% the automotive industy, when are they? Hold tight, its worth the wait! :-P

Just spoken to dave at larini just now. He is aware that they are behind due to the *bender* being broken but he sounded confident that they should be shipped this week. To be on the safe side i would say that people should recieve them early next week now to be honest.

He did say some may get them this week. However i wouldnt hold your breath to be honest as you would be setting yourself up for a fall if it doesnt arrive. Maybe the next group buy lot should have a late deliv. discount clause arranged for the next order.
