Hmm,

So when are we going to get a dyno shootout with a cross section of these different cars?

Appears there are some mad cars out there since the last one was done. Claimed figures are just that until they can be stacked up side by side.

Actually some in-gear measurements through a v-box or similar would also be interesting.

yeah that would be the best bet..

and log them all togetehr on the same chart for comparisons.

as for the whos is bigger??

Let's not get into the mine is bigger than yours thing, not before it is finished anyway!

Mine currently peaks at 347 lbs ft right at mid range, and sustains over 300lbs across a wide rev range. Will post graphs but don't see the point before I have uprated the CC

Hi, been waiting for an update :poke: did you get the new CC fitted :)

Simon.

Yup, got it fitted about a month ago! First of all the good bits. Now running:
307.4 bhp @ 5543rpm
351.1 Lbs @4016 rpm (sustaining over 300 Lbs from 3500rpm to 5000rpm)
:D

Courtenays did originaly have a map achieving 375 Lbs, but I wanted to maintain a smoother curve to improve drivability. In short, the power is relentless and having taken it to the top gear airfield track can say that at 155Mph it was still pulling like a train...then I ran out of runway  Did a 1min 30 sec lap but know I can get a couple more seconds off that...never quite hooked it up totally on the flying laps.

Next step is to put an LSD and uprated uprated clutch (yes I did mean to say it twice!) to cope with all that torque.

Now the bad news :(
On the way back from Courtenays, on the A11 dual carriageway a deer ran out directly infront of the car, which I hit at 70mph  . I am absolutely fine, thank God, but the car is currently having a new clam, rad, pre rad etc. The deer wasn't too well either. Will have the VX back on the road in a couple of weeks but is booked in to Courtenays for a full check over after that, so probably won't get to use the car much more this summer. Bummer eh!
